That’s the plan. I’ve been to Aulani twice using other points. I want the 11 month advantage for summer and Christmas trips.

We have yet to go to Aulani... very far away from us... but I have a hunch we will LOVE it there... especially for a 1-2 week stay....

Why would they need to hack up prices for other resorts because of LSL?

PVB tower was part of PVB, which made sense….

I think if the most desirable monorail resorts are selling in the $130s-140s and they are trying to sell offsite LSL (with restricted resale!) at $225, they are going to have trouble moving inventory to existing members who are familiar with DVC (or people who bother to google before making their first direct purchase).

Maybe they are fine with it selling slowly like VDH…but it’s a lot of points and I think it will be hard to sell it inside a decade if VGF/PVB/BLT are all more than $60 below what they hope to sell it at…but maybe they will discount aggressively and/or people will be so excited about a lazy river that they won’t care? For now, my prediction is we start to see ROFR pick up for all the MK resorts (including CCV) around the time they are getting ready to sell LSL.

It’s going to be a LOT of points…. that thing is HUGE and they’ve learned people hate high dues even with a low point chart….

Was originally looking for Subsidized dues a few months ago and came up empty twice. Then pivoted to a normal Aulani contract at a really affordable rate - got that. Then this subsidized dues contract just happened to show up a couple weeks later. Luckily I only bought enough to go every other year, so it gave me flexibility to chase the subsidized dues. I did have to wait a week to ask myself if I was really going to buy two contracts within a couple of weeks of each other.

I typically have an August UY, but went with March UY since we are most likely to go in March and least likely to go in January and February. It also had the greatest chance for a contract with subsidized dues.
