What? The average price for VGC is down to $222?
I wonder if it’s based on one or two large contracts, or perhaps stripped? I haven’t been following VGC closely since our VGC points closed over the summer, but I’d be surprised if there were smaller contracts averaging below $230 unless they were stripped.

As someone who recently closed on a VGC contract at $260/pt, that hurts. The contract I bought had nearly a full years worth of banked points, plus full points for current & next year. And closing happened just in time for me to book my first reservation at 8 months to use the banked points at VGC. Looking at one aggregator listing site, many of the cheaper contracts are fully stripped of current & next years points, so that takes some of the sting out of it.

But I'd like to know more details of whether the $222 VGC average was heavily weighted by stripped contracts.

We should remember the average posted by the board sponsor is just the average for the contracts they sold not any other broker. So they could have sold a very large contract or a very very stripped one to bring that average down. Since they don’t sell a large volume of VGC selling just one at a lower than average price will cause the average to be lowered drastically.

Correct. A large stripped contract with no points for 2024 or 2025 when there are not a lot of sales total will impact the entire average.

It’s better to look at a rolling average over multiple months.

Anyone able to speak to Aulani International to International? Specifically Canadian to Canadian. 😂

Just found out after I asked, but they are reassuring it’s not a major issue with online notaries now…

No explanation for why it took over 30 days, but we passed! I convinced myself Disney would take this contract since it’s loaded and seller paid 2024 dues.

First November contract I see that has passed ROFR. Hoping that turns on the floodgates.
