That might be shorter than VDH to the main esplanade?
Technically, i don't think so, but hard to tell.
VDH to DL - 13min (0.6mi) Walking
AKV to DAK - 1.5. driving, so it’s more like 1mi if they made a direct path.
Direct path from front of lobby to front of ticket area is 4476feet, so a little winding would put it right about 1 mile (5280ft). :)

Hopefully they will throw a stop in at SSR as well while they’re at it
Will never happen... too many people who would play games to avoid parking fees...

An AKV walking path seems exactly what should be there... I think people never suspected VGF would have a path, and then we did! AKV walking path would definitely make me want to buy there- it would totally change the equation.

From the map it looks like a skyliner that goes between AKV, Animal Kingdom, Coronado, and Hollywood studios would be the easiest to connect it to the current route. Maybe it could have a possible split off to Blizzard Beach and on to the All Star resorts to the south as well. I would be ok with a route to Typhoon Lagoon on the other end as well.

I see you joined in 2019, but just in case you didnt consult with some other DVC Friends, this is a REALLY bad buy. $118 is not a deal. And you have to delay closing as the broker owned contract borrowed the 26 into Feb25 UY to make rentals and those have to complete and you tie up $CASH$ and dont get points til 2027. There are and will be WAY better contracts than this one. Cancel this ASAP.

February UY for AUL subsidized is one of the more common UYs I’ve seen. I’d be holding out for a better contract and price especially with fall and winter right around the corner.

Or give them a lowball offer. I have been tempted with those Feb use year ones since it matches my VGC use year

I could see them need to keep containment through some areas, but definitely doable.

Thank you @Chili327 — I appreciate your map sleuthing, but regret putting you through the effort— I thought you were confirming @AstroBlasters comment guessing a half-mile, so I said (sort of correctly) that .5mi would be shorter than VDH walk…unfortunately AKV is actually much longer than half a mile. Back to wanting a skyliner…especially if it came with views of the savanna. 😍

Any guesses on the $/pt cutoff for a PVB resale to pass ROFR? I have one getting submitted shortly and not feeling very optimistic based on all the direct purchases I'm seeing mentioned in other threads.

I don’t think they will ROFR any now that they are actively selling.
Well that would be great. There’s an aggregator site that was showing ROFR as high as 170 in September if I’m interpreting the graph correctly so that is what had me concerned. I wasn’t sure if they would create a floor in the resale market. This is all pretty new to me.

Agree that there shouldn't be any issues! A friend had a stripped contract pass at 140 earlier this month. Good luck!

lol didn't we buy the SSR twin 35s, I sold mine also way earlier this year as well. It served it's purpose, but I do miss this baby SSR Contract!
We DID!!!!! LOL, I remember that :). I had always planned to use up all those banked points and flip it for Poly and well, that's what I did.
I almost put in an offer on one last week. :)

Over the summer it did create a high floor - $169pp was the highest I remember seeing taken back so you are interpreting the graph correctly. A number of people (myself included) bought PVB early (before DVC sales started) to get the existing member benefits and booking window but the price was definitely inflated and demand was high. (I think at one point there were only 11 PVB contracts on the market - am I remembering that correctly?).

I don't think that floor has dropped as much as it will when dues start getting added this winter. If you are not in a time crunch to buy it could be worth a decent chunk of money to wait and watch the market for at least a couple of months.
