I’m not sure if @Galactic Reversal has had a chance to update it, but I can certainly speak to being a little too busy to stay on top of updating information for this thread (update is soon, I promise!) so hopefully it’s just that me being a slacker is making it so the site doesn’t have much new data to pull from@pangyal do you know if the DVCROFR site is still working? I don’t see any updates after September.
maybe they are going back to starting to ROFR more contracts....Watching a live podcast and they have someone from the board sponsor on. Apparently they got a large batch of buybacks today ~30 and a a significant portion of them are OKW and a bunch of AKV
As a detail point: my former Guide told me a few weeks ago that I could get on a list to buy VGF. I called the number he told me to call to get on said list. It was a wild goose chase and the people I talked to were surprised at my call, telling me there was absolutely no list available for buying VGF.maybe they are going back to starting to ROFR more contracts....
OKW they should ROFR every single one as far as I am concerned...
AKV they might be short on points...
VGF also seems to continue to be short on points - they haven't sold any and are continuing to ROFR.
interesting... I wonder if we'll ever know what Disney is looking at when they ROFR but it's definitely not just price/number of points.....Mmk121---$95-$17513-160-AKV-Dec-0/22, 0/23, 0/24, 160/25- sent 10/1, taken 10/25
It wasn’t the best deal, I knew Disney was ROFRing AKL, so I didn’t negotiate as hard as I usually do, it was pretty stripped, and I thought that they wouldn’t take it because it wasn’t a crazy screaming deal, and I’ve seen better AKL deals passing ROFR lately. Channeling my new DVC spirit friend Renee… Disney must have an ex named Maria.
Dang. I got excited there at the beginning that we could get on a waitlist for VGF.As a detail point: my former Guide told me a few weeks ago that I could get on a list to buy VGF. I called the number he told me to call to get on said list. It was a wild goose chase and the people I talked to were surprised at my call, telling me there was absolutely no list available for buying VGF.
The Guide had misinterpreted an internal email indicating they were going to be buying back more VGF, but it turns out that didn’t indicate VGF would be selling directly again anytime soon.
So I suspect we could see more VGF buybacks continuing based on that conversation.
Thinking the same thing because mine passed… and it was thisinteresting... I wonder if we'll ever know what Disney is looking at when they ROFR but it's definitely not just price/number of points.....
Same thing for us just got AKL a UK seller. But the problem is we are from Canada. So international seller to international buyer! Will there be problems?? I Hope not.Anyone ever purchase a resale from UK seller? I understand it may take a little longer but anything other than that from the buyers side?
They don’t take contracts from international sellers usually, so that is the main reason why yours passed. Congrats!Thinking the same thing because mine passed… and it was this
Catou---$98-$17104-160-AKV-Dec-0/23, 210/24, 160/25-Seller pays1/2 MF 24- sent 10/4 .
I did. Took a bit longer for seller to sign closing docs. Make sure the title company sends you the FIRPTA tax form for your files.Anyone ever purchase a resale from UK seller? I understand it may take a little longer but anything other than that from the buyers side?
We know they look at Residential Unit numbers, because a single contract can come from only one RU. So if someone wants 150 points and they don’t have enough in any one RU, they might exercise ROFR on a contract that brings them enough. They used to look at UY as well, until several years ago when they determined they had the right to change UY of points.interesting... I wonder if we'll ever know what Disney is looking at when they ROFR but it's definitely not just price/number of points.....
Yeah I have no idea how mine ($95-$15850-160-AKV-Dec-0/23, 154/24, 160/25-seller pays MF '24, Jan closing- sent 9/28, passed 10/24) just passed when this one gets taken. Maybe Disney doesn't like taking delayed closings or partially stripped contracts?interesting... I wonder if we'll ever know what Disney is looking at when they ROFR but it's definitely not just price/number of points.....
This is very interesting and I haven’t seen this mentioned previously. It makes a lot of sense though.
