Wow getting close to breaking the 100 barrier!
Impossible. I was told, nay, ridiculed for saying that could happen:
I think the floor for the price that Riviera resale ultimately settles at in 2-3 years is probably about $20 below SSR and the ceiling is about $20 above SSR. Right now I'd say SSR is $100 so if that holds, I'd be surprised to see Riviera below $80 or above $120.

That’s definitely an option - and perhaps also the only reason why they can’t cancel the reservation.
Probably right. But keep in mind that they will have been paid (probably around $20 per point) for that rental, so if there are less points available than what you contracted to buy, they should at least be passing the rental income over to you!

I’m waiting for the broker to come back with an activity statement from DVC - if it’s not on par with the contract there won’t be anything to consider at all.

Okay, Magic Vacation Title still claims their "systems" are down. Is anyone else dealing with this?

Sorry to hear you are going through this. I don't use them anymore. Only when I've sold and was forced to use them. In fact, when I sold I offered to pay for closing costs on the contract with DVCRM to avoid them all together and the agent came back and said if the buyer can't use Magic, they will pass. Ha! This is why I find it hard to there is no bias there.

Hopefully they will be up soon.

YES - my husband and I were talking this morning about placing bets on whether they are magically fixed when the closing agent comes back from vacation. She is "out of office until July 30" and if things are suddenly fixed I am calling them out on it. The day we passed ROFR she emailed me before we even heard from the listing site, then couldn't be reached by email or phone that day so I had to talk to someone else in the office... (it seemed clear to me she left for the afternoon) then she was out of town. So I don't know if they only have one closing agent or if they plan poorly, but they gave this person files knowing she was going to be unavailable, and now they've been holding my cash which should be collecting 4.3% interest in my account seeing as how they planned this and I could have sent it after she got back, rather than now 10 days ago.

(that's enough interest to cover our weekly going out to breakfast twice!)

My agent is not on vacation but they are also not very communicative either.

wmm1126---$110-$14250-120-CCV@WL-Dec-0/23, 0/24, 120/25- sent 6/26 (unfortunately this contract was cancelled within the first 10 days of signing so it never made it to the ROFR desk 😢)

Im so excited to finally be a part of DVC! Now I need my account to be made and my points to load so I can figure out what to do with the 100 points that expire Nov 30 😬. (banked points from 2022)

Was the CCV@WL contract a Fidelity contract? I might be under contract on this one right now.
