wow, if your was sent on 7/18 they jumped over several dates to look at that contract. My BRV was sent on 7/14 and hasn't been looked at yet. Looks like others passed today were 7/8.

wow, if your was sent on 7/18 they jumped over several dates to look at that contract. My BRV was sent on 7/14 and hasn't been looked at yet. Looks like others passed today were 7/8.

They did this another time this month. Where they like jumped over others to look at a OKW contract, so I think they are expediting reviewing OKW contracts.

Probably with the hope to buy some cheap ones for themselves.

I'm gaining an interesting perspective by being on the Seller side for the first time.
I received both contract's closing documents (7/26) in advance of the ROFR decision, had them witnessed, notarized and returned (7/31), so as to expedite the process once ROFR has been finalized. On all of my DVC resale purchases the long pole in the tent was obtaining the seller's notarized documents. I never understood why ?????
Once I get the ROFR decisions, I'll post the details in the Closing Time thread.

Looking for advice or suggestions.

I was just informed that my sellers had “forgot” that that they have a reservation for late October.

According to our signed contract we are due to close by mid September at the latest.

Currently I lean towards cancel my contract and find something else. However I’m also satisfied with what I’ve found but maybe I can find something better?

Since my contract does not come with banked 2023 points I fear that since the sellers forgot about their reservation that they might have used some of the 2024 points to make the Oct reservation.

Update to my purchase.

I've spoke to the broker and apparently Disney had mixed up the contracts that the sellers was using for the Oct reservation and the one they were selling. So everything is good and we are still on track to close in September - if we pass ROFR that is.

No, I essentially “washed” my resale points to direct points because I wanted the ability to book at the new resorts. I purchased 250 SSR points direct at $135 per point using the new promotion and sold these 100 points for $94 per point. This also lined up all my points in the same use year as I found separate use years annoying. I also slightly increased my total points holdings by doing this.

If DVC were to ever offer a way to convert resale to direct (I don't think they would) we should call it point washing. But nice! For me the FOMO is real unfortunately so I don't think I'm doing anymore resale but every few days I go back and forth about potentially resale Poly once the prices normalizes
