Oh good, not long then. Everything was in on Friday and I'm still waiting; started wondering if this was going to turn into another massive milestone.

Every title company is different. My experience has been that Magic Vacation Title is the worst followed by First Am. DVC Closings, Mason and TRCS Inc. have been amazing to deal with for me.

In everyone's experience - once you've sent funds and all the paperwork is done, how long does it take these companies to close so the county can record it and we get points?
When the seller is quick to return docs, mine have been same/next day close and another 1-2 days for deed recording. This go around, I returned my docs/funds same day and my seller hasn’t yet 😡 so turtle speed.

I'm always waiting with the funds until seller has returned the paper work. Once returned I wire and normally the title company close the same day or the day after. The deed is then recorded and I can see it online within a few days.

Depending on how much workload DVC has the contract is then setup in a few weeks. Once I see it online I call or chat to get the points loaded. Normally its approx 4 weeks after we closed.

There we are. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

We've lucked out that the seller seems to be motivated - both times we needed to do paperwork I saw the email and was still printing things up when I got the second email that their half was done. :cool1: Every part of this that doesn't include a wait has been nice.

HyperspaceMountainPilot---$256-$33,776.75-125-VGC-Oct-0/22, 98/23, 250/24, 125/25- sent 7/23

Tiniest chance I can sneak in somewhere with those 2022 points banked into 2023, but not looking great. Anybody had any success renting points within 45 days of expiring?
Fingers crossed it goes through quickly… and yes, I’ve been able to rent 130 points that were 3 weeks from expiring… there is a dedicated FB page for ‘last minute’ rentals which would probably be good for you to join if you want to get ride of them quickly!

“all the paperwork is done” — If you mean with seller paperwork included, I would say within 48 hours. DVC Closings in usually next day.

But Disney still has to load the points. So I think a couple weeks still for the points to be available..

Can vary so much. I currently have a title company that is horrendous. Took them 17 days to send out docs to even be signed. My previous title co I had last time took 1 day. Current title co has had all docs signed and funds in hand for 7 days now and Im still not closed. Last title co took 1 day from docs signed to closed and recorded next day.

PS dont give your business to TRCS.

Congrats!!

Im sure you've seen my complaining but just in case you haven't if you want a quicker close do not use TRCS, they are currently doing my VGC and I am 57 days in and still not closed, I didn't have a slow ROFR or a slow seller.

I will defend TRCS ...I have a great relationship with Amanda and Karina over there. I also have a great relationship with DVC TE. Without knowing details is the delay due sellers side? Someone is out on vacay and dropped the ball? There could be another handful of reasons that cause delay. I would pick TRCS over First American for Aulani (FA is not speedy either and FA is big $$$), especially if the seller bought direct from Disney, there isn't much need to waste money on title insurance. If there is no rush for a few days to a week on a buy or sell TRCS price for wdw contracts vs the others, I like as well. Sure I picked DVC TE on my last buys but the speed mattered to me for those contracts.

No not a sellers delay. She didnt give me a reason for the delay she said it was standard timing. I am now under contract for Aulani and am now using First American, I wouldn't give TRCS another penny of my money for her services.

For the record, I think Julie LaCagnina at First American Title out of Hawaii is fantastic.
