Our first contract... everything is closed, just waiting on official documents for disney! I think we will probably add 25 points direct..... although the new PVB price does make me cringe.

I see. So you already are a DVC member then? I’ve heard that since I’m new it could take even longer to have my account created. We already have a trip booked for late Nov/early Dec. But I’d love to be able to use some of our points for a day or two of that trip.

Yes, so I was just waiting for the new member number to show up in my account. That took 8 days, and the points in the account happened 3 days/1 business day later. When I got my first resale contract, I wanted to book closer to 11 months than 7 months, and also wanted a 25 point add on. So I called every day starting at about 7-8 days after the deed was recorded, doing the Member Services/Member Admin dance. I think on my 2nd or 3rd try, I got someone at Member Admin who set everything up, and by the time I logged in, the account was created and points were there. I think it was around 9-10 days after deed recording, but I am not totally sure. For the second resale, even though it was a different UY, it all showed up in my existing account; I didn't need an activation code or anything.

This our first DVC purchase, why I don’t know since we have probably gone over 15 times in the last 20 years! Fingers crossed. I know it was a bit higher than the average contract, but we hope to sell about 300 of those points that we don’t need and use that money to buy a 25 point add on! We added our daughter to the contract and she will have it to use as she grows old too! Good luck to all!

11 days and counting..... This waiting is killing me. We would really love to go at the end of November, hoping there is still some availability at some of the resorts that we would like to stay at. We have been going for over 20 years and have yet to stay by the MK. Fingers still crossed!!

13 days and counting for us! I was hoping for a shorter ROFR time since Disney doesn't seem to exercise buybacks for Aulani as much as other resorts. Hoping our price wasn't too low. I'll just be here twiddling my thumbs and compulsively checking my email ...

Added our MK resort! I was excited to find a reasonably priced Oct UY Poly contract (especially post-direct price increase), since it's not a common UY, so I hope this passes!

Welp, I was hoping to hear back on my AKV contract first since that's the one I really want. I thought this one might get taken since a stripped one with the same use year at the same price was taken two weeks ago.

Hopefully my AKV one still passes, and I'll just have to strip this one and sell it for $90 to break even

Thanks!!! I’ve seen so few Oct UY, I assumed I would have to pay more to match UYs. The last Poly Oct UY I bid on, the seller wouldn’t go below $143 (and the broker basically told me she thought I was being unrealistic!). It was for a smaller contract (100pt), but didn’t have most of the 2017 points.

Ha!! Well, this highlights the point that ROFR is pretty random. So now you got more points for the same price. Yahoo!

YAY. I feel this was a pretty good deal for a loaded contract, by today's standards... 9 months ago I added on AKV for $78 UGH. I don't need any of the 2017 points so I'll rent all those. Now to close on both contracts, strip and flip the SSR one.
