ROFR Thread January to March 2016 *PLEASE USE NEW THREAD*

We just sent back our first DVC contract. We bought half the points we need since we go every other year.

I know that there really isn't any rhyme or reason to ROFR, but my 100 pt SSR for $90/pt just passed a couple weeks ago, and from the looks of today it seems lower $/pt were being exercised, so to me it looks like you should be good.

My broker said that they noticed the last week or so that Disney has been super aggressive. She thinks disney is low on inventory for direct sales and might be buying up more aggressively to help their own sales..... No one can be sure but it's back to the listings first thing tomorrow! I am not giving up... Just have to decide if I want to try Saratoga again or go AKL since it seems everything passes there lol

As others have noted, I don't think anyone understands the rationale of which properties Disney lets pass and which ones they take by ROFR. Since I started going through this process, I have been amazed at the contracts that pass and those that get taken. While I would have expected the cheaper contracts to be the ones taken, that doesn't always hold true.

I am hoping you are correct. Seeing a few SSR's exercised certainly has me a bit concerned.
