Looking for advice on the above listing. We learned from the broker today that Disney alerted them regarding this contract needing to go through probate before it can be sold. We are able to back out of sale or we can wait it out. Do any of you have experience with this? What would you do?

There are other contracts to be had. The only way I would agree to wait for probate is
1. I didnt any immediate need for the points.
2. Id only proceed if they knocked the price down a significant amount , I wouldn't even bother with price per point reduction, I would ask them to cover all closing costs and no reimbursement of MF at all.

edit to add: I just read other responses. Maybe best to back out. I had bought one going through probate but it was basically almost done with the process when I bought, so if it can take a long time not worth it.

as others have said, I would run. there are other contracts out there, though I know it must feel frustrating to start the search over.

I'd run from the probate as well. My mother's was VERY straight forward and it took 8 months once we filed it.

Wow! 5 RIV contracts with a high of $98!

Hopeful that this price will hold for a few more years while we save up and are ready to take the plunge on adding on a few more contracts to the madness. Would be happy to add to our RIV points with restricted resale points to help for the GV budget and that would free up our direct points to use at other resorts at 7 months such as VDH and perhaps the new LL/Reflections 2.0....

I'm not sure if it would be true but we may have used our RIV points just as much at VDH as RIV.

It’s that new Mickey’s Magic Math.
The Contract says 60 Points for 2025 (which I’m asking to bank into 2026) but it also has a note that reads: “includes 5 banked points from 2024 which expire 5/31/26. So those 5 can’t be banked, but I could use them right away,(if I can book before 1/31/26),effectively yielding 125 points in 2026.

OK,so you really have 5 points in 2025 use year which have to be used by 5/31/2026 and not in 2026 use year.
