Mason had our closing documents within 24 hours of passing ROFR.

It is the sellers that dragged their feet with returning the signed documents.

For anyone following my saga - i was told that the sellers returned the documents today (closing date in the contract is March 20th).

Ditto that! Glad you have a date set; I'm still waiting for Mason to confirm receipt of seller's docs.............

Do you mind me asking what the list price was? I keep trying on 120s and 130s with double points and can't seem to get anyone below 100 lately. Gonna keep trying though!!

I’ve been throwing low ball offers for the last week, I got some replies, saying the sellers wouldn’t entertain at all, others were still high. I think it was up for four days listed for 110 and I offered 85 and he said 90 and they are paying closing cost.

So I asked if we could used Mason and they emailed back that Mason only does South Carolina contracts and *** is on our settlement and we should settle by May 5th.

I don’t think that’s accurate, I’ve seen Mason closing on multiple Florida WDW contracts listed here.

You do need to notify them of your title company before the contract is written though because the title company is listed on the sales contract.

We are pretty close to you for closing date through the same broker. Our date is May 9th. Im really hoping it doesn’t take that long to close though.

I have used Mason for FL contracts. One thing to remember is that Mason may not do the same volume as other title companies for sales.

But, as mentioned, you have to request when you offer to purchase.

Serious question, why are your documents more important than anyone else who is currently waiting.

If 2-3 weeks were standard across the board, then yeah, I'm not any more special than anyone else. But if other title companies are getting it done quicker, then i'm going to be the squeaky wheel. I am hoping to use my new points in mid-April at my 7 month mark. and i'm not pushing other people out of the way - i'm merely wondering why one particular title company is taking weeks longer than others.

I put in an offer and did the counter back and forth. When I got the buyers information packet to fill out I just put in the comments section as well as emailed the agent I was going to use Mason. When we got the official offer paperwork, mason was in there. I think if you haven’t signed, you should request them still. And yes, they most definitely do Florida contracts.

To be more precise (lol), in my experience, Cammie tends to handle the FL contracts and Marcelo handles the HHI contracts.

We are still in ROFR but our VGC contract will be going through Mason and according to our agent, we were assigned to Cammy.

Mason does Florida contracts. Tons of them.

Owners of DVCRM also owns Magic Vacation Title. So they push them on buyers.

Nope, sounds like www.dvcresalemarket.com is not being candid with you.

All 5 of my resales are FL and all Mason with Cammy and Marcelo about evenly split. What we can say for sure is that OP’s broker was misinforming them.
