Isn’t this a very conservative assumption? Granted, for a very small contract it might not be worth it to try to get the money back but for a larger contract? You might need to wait a year or two, though.
We are crazy on these boards with the go for it's, but i think most (all) of us are looking at least bad case if not worst case (climate).
 
Not hip on BRV but that is loaded as is gets! At worst your are going to be at 95 with 500 in 2024. Seller pays 2024 too! Nice deal!
Would have preferred a CCV contract, and I really tried... but couldn't close a good deal there. CCV forces us in a 2BR because we are a family of 5, but the 2068 expiry would have made it a better longer term home MK resort.

My wife wanted nothing to do with BLT even though there were so many great deals available, especially considering the incoming refurb, and PB was too popular with the tower opening. That leaves VGF but we are not grand enough to fit there imho 😂

We are Grand and Boulder people! I love Boulder! Especially in the holidays and oddly when it is very hot, I enjoy all the shade. There is something special about it! Enjoy those points!
 
I have this same problem. I’m like “do you remember how much you loved the short walks from GCV” but it doesn’t matter…”it’s ugly”.🤦‍♂️
I think that is why the refurb will be more important for BLT than any other resort for the resale price.

The room layouts are amazing and the location is great….. just get the theming right and resale prices go from $120pp to $150-$175pp…..

I certainly hope so! I love BLT but it makes me sad watching how low the resale prices are going after I already bought in. Hopefully a nice Murphy bed and a bit of the same beautiful theming they have applied to island tower will sort restore order!

Honestly, I would just style it to WDW nostalgia….kind of like Disneyland Hotel (not villas)

Resale prices really only matters two times: when you buy and when you sell. As long as you hold, use, and enjoy DVC for at least a few years, the value of your experiences will justify the purchase and make the price fluctuations much less significant.
