To be fair, the DVC FAQ page says it "takes 30 days", so that does sort of set the expectation. Legally, though, it's your requirement to them, not the other way around. The house always wins.

And you can walk if they don't close by the 'close by' date in the contract. Mine has 3 weeks from tomorrow to close so they'll have to hurry the next steps. Personally, we wouldn't walk if it takes a couple extra days but might if it didn't close by, say, June 16.

My broker is Fidelity. I really just wanted to let people know that I haven't forgotten to give an update on mine. I like the one that I selected (resort, Use Year and points) and the price but I will be okay if it does not work out. I will just try to find another one. I am also being patient but that is easy because I don't have any trips that I really want to plan yet.

I did! My information is on the first page under passed. Took 2 weeks to pass ROFR. Are you considering an offer?

There is no such 30 day policy, I'm afraid. They can do whatever they want.

Yes, and we've just signed the contact and it was received back at the title company May 11.

I didn't see a lot of 150-160 contracts for Boulder Ridge/WL when we first started looking - luckily I got this one on an app alert from DVC Resale Mkt, before it was posted on their site. Also, there are only 25 years left on those contracts, so that may scare some folks away. For us, it works out thou!
