I was a little suprised, but Disney exercised their ROFR on a Vero Beach resale. It was $58.00 a point, 150 points, December use year. 60 points from 2002 remained and all 2003 points would have been available. With the slow Vero sales this suprised me. Anyone else ever have a Vero resale bought back?

I think I'm the reason. (see my post, Vero points $69) Disney just picked up a couple of bucks by buying the 150 points instead of letting you buy them, and selling 50 points to me. (small add on contracts are hard to get on the resale market.):)

That's interesting. Vero is said to be approaching sell-out so maybe Disney wants to hang on to some additional points to sell as add-ons in the future.

I was told, about a week ago, that there were 3600 points left for a June use year at Vero. 3600 (approximately) x 12 =43,000 points. Not a lot of stock.

I'm sure the reason is to keep the overall price per point high. I'm sure they will lose money on this resale when you include their overall expenses.

Could it be that some use years, December perhaps, have far fewer points left than other use years? Disney may want the final sellout to occur at pretty much the same time to make maximum use of promotion costs.
