ROFR Discussion Thread

We considered selling our BWV to buy a bigger contract. If we did I’d give the broker my asking price and say we are not interested in anything under 10% less. Because that’s the lowest price I’d part with it. Too low of a price and I’d be better off just adding another small contract.

It would be different if we were looking to exit DVC, but I can see ours a common case for when brokers know the seller isn’t interested below a certain price.

As someone who has sold several, I did give parameters to the brokers as to what to actually present and not and what counter they were allowed to offer a buyer.

My guess is I am not unique in that. So, there may have been offers I never got because I didn’t want them.

My feeling is that sellers and buyers get to decide what they want and I don’t begrudge either side.

The key as a buyer is to find a seller who thinks the same for pricing as you and as a seller, the opposite.

It never took me more than 2 weeks to sell or buy.
That's fair, and I would probably feel the same way as a seller.

This agent just really rubbed me the wrong way and it left a sour taste in my mouth. I think I assumed the worst 🤣

Not your fault by any means. At the end of the day how people speak and sound can leave someone feeling like they weren’t treated the best. So they really could have made the interaction more personable where you walked away saying “hey that wasn’t the right contract but I wouldnt mind working with this agent/broker in the future” A little bit goes a long way in sales.

Coming in late but worked with an agent at ****************** on an offer I had rejected. Had it countered before it was eventually rejected. Forget the agent’s name as I deleted the emails, but was super professional and easy to work with. So yes, how you’re treated goes a long way as I would consider working with this company again.
