ROFR and Discrimination - Prove it DOESN'T exist

My $108 OKW e was

My $1098 OKW Extedned was passed today, but thanks. You seem angry. I was under lots of anxiety and sadness.
LOL. How did I seem "angry"? That's an interesting take on it. Hahaha. I have been under stress or sadness before, but it didn't make me think "discrimination" if I didn't get my way. Just yesterday you commented that DVC Google's people to discriminate against them. Not sure how you correlate being sad or anxious to making the Grand Canyon size leap to that kind of conspiracy theory. If you read my comment again you will see I actually gave several suggestions and examples. Not one tone of "anger" was used in my comment...more "bewilderment". At any rate, you ended up passing ROFR so it looks like the "discrimination" thing may have been far fetched after all.

Ok. This took a turn.

Not gonna lie, I thought you were either referring to yourself or speaking in metaphor when you mentioned something about a “sick puppy.” This sounds awful and I can see how this might color perspective on how life can often work against us. I’m sorry this is happening.

As it pertains to ROFR (and honestly all things we tend to rage at while waiting in a long line, sitting in traffic, or waiting for a returned text/email), any perceived slights we feel are amplified because of an acute sensitivity to the urgency we feel in these situation; in your case, a much needed respite from all things ailing-puppy.

I think CookiesandOatmeal and Kathy made a great suggestion that maybe you take a break from watching the boiler pot. I know it’s hard, but this whole Disney timeshare thing can really suck you in given how, for so many of us, the product itself embodies escapism like no other.

ROFR sucks. When it means as much to you as it does in this instance, its complete suckage will only be magnified.

A little perspective… a few weeks from now, regardless of whether or not Disney takes your contracts, you’ll still have amazing trips to plan with your beautiful grandson (who will have no memory of the year he was kept from spending more time with Grandma), you’ll still be cancer free, and in all likelihood, you’ll find you don’t have enough time in a day because healthy, happy, boisterous puppies are a time-suck.
Puppy came home yesterday and ROFR PASSED TODAY!

It would be impossible for a corporation like Disney to have a top-secret internal operation, researching the race and/or religion of potential DVC buyers in order to deliberately discriminate against them, without word eventually leaking out. And when it did, it would be an absolutely monumental scandal costing Disney billions in bad publicity and fines, and it would take them decades to recover. And how likely is it that a company busily removing any elements from its rides that might be perceived as offensive would be the slightest bit interested in engaging in discrimination as regards DVC, anyway?

Disney has financial incentive to only buy back resorts that are selling for low prices and in high demand for direct sales. If they buy the points back, they are out the purchase price of the contract unless they can resell it.

Do you have any evidence that Disney is discriminating on factors other than price and demand? It's nearly impossible to prove something doesn't happen.
