***ROCKSTAR: Supernova*** (spoilers welcome)

I agree that Skunkboy knew before it was announced. And, funny thing is, I knew too -- Why? Last night's show, which was totally filled with commercials, had 3 or 4 commercials for the new Survivor. Each Survivor commercial had a several second shot of Skunkboy performing at the end -- no mention of Supernova, so it seemed funny -- figured it was put to save money and the network could run after Skunky won, too.

Magni performed fabulously, would have been a great choice, but Supernova pandered to the votes. So much for a Rock band, huh? Guess they're more mainstream than I'd thought.

And I don't think Lukas would have told his band members who were sitting around on pins and needles. A lawsuit is not a pretty thing, as the band formerly known as Supernova is well aware.

Toby fans: Toby has been signed by Sony/Burnett and his band is supposedly coming here to record an album.

TLee has give Lukas and Toby the keys to his malibu mansion for them to stay at while he's on tour with Motley Crue through November.

The song with the hey, hey, hey and ho, ho, ho's in it - I hated it the first time when whomever sang it with Supernova - Toby I guess it was but last night after hearing Lukas sing it - I LOVE IT!!!! Lukas' voice sure did make a big difference and now it's stuck in my head, LOL!!!

YAY, LUKAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edited to add: None of them knew who won - that whole part had to be re-taped because the way Jason was talking to Dilana she thought that she had won - they had to cut all that out...........

I read somewhere that they had to re-shoot the reveal so that might be why Dilana looks pissed. I would be too.

and I seriously doubt Lukas would tell anyone, including his old bandmates, that he won. That would bring the mother of all lawsuits crashing down on his head especially since it's a Mark Burnett production. the rumors out there have been way too accurate, and the Survivor promo was the nail in the coffin.

Pukas and the Rockers.....

Another season, another disappointment. I really cannot believe that they chose Pukas over the others. Just another band that will be short-lived that I don't have to worry about wasting my money on!

I watched Rockstar from the first show to the last and I have to say that Lukas is the worse singer. Terrible voice and half the time you can't even understand what he is saying. I also find him creepy looking, actually I can't stand to look at him. I knew if he won that Supernova would not be a band that I would be listening to. Any of the other three would have been better than him.

I so agree about Gilby. Tell me again why he is considered somebody people should want to play with? Dilana could do much better. Dilana should call Shania and talk her into geting her husband to product rock music again.

I forgot about those commercials. Another big clue that the whole thing was staged.

If you're a fan of any of the guys in the band, don't worry. This has big failure written all over it since none of the fans of those guys will buy Lukas as a front man. The people who voted for Lukas are a fickle bunch and this will not last long after the tour. Each of those can do better in another group.

I am not surprised by the outcome but I am a little sad.

My DH still says he'll buy the cd and that he likes Lukas.

I just think that with Lukas, or even Dilana for that matter, as their lead singer, they went the cliche` 80's metal band lead singer route.

Now, I know near the start of this thread, I was all about "stage presence", but Toby and Magni* made me rethink some. They weren't trying to re-invent Vince Neil, but instead just "do what they do". I think those two boys were more rock stars, they didn't need to play a part. I will be listening for and buying their cd's.

*Well, I'd buy Magni's cd even in Icelandic. I just love his voice. He could read the phone book and I'd buy a copy of that.

I was/am a fan of all those guys - YUP, saw Motley Crue on their first tour - SHOUT AT THE DEVIL in 1983 - anyone who was a fan of HEAVY METAL in the 80's would understand why they chose Lukas over anyone else.

The final contestants all said that they thought that Lukas was going to win and that he fit in best with the band. I guess it wasn't really much of a surprise then to any of them.

I guess "Supernova" didn't either since they picked Lukas.

Lukas sure wouldn't have been my choice, but since the band picked him, he obviously was theirs.

Did anyone catch the look on Jason's face before the band starting playing with Lucas at the end? And was that Magni that came onstage during either the first or second song playing his guitar? They never really put the camera right on him but it sure looked like it!

I know - I read everyone's exit interview and EVERYONE that came out of that mansion said that Lukas would win.

The editing on the show really stunk - after talking to all the people who attended the tapings it was so evident how much the SN guys loved Lukas and TLee comments kept having to be cut out so as not to give it away.

All the elminated rockers were at the show yesterday too - I really wish they would of shown them all again.
