Does anyone know if the countdown was added to RNR in the last year? I don't remember a warning as to when the car was going to start.

It has always been there.

Yes, it has always been there. LOL because that is when my husband gets scared. The light flash at the beginning right before you take off is when they are taking your picture.

Lol, yeah it's there. It sure gets the adrenaline levels up. No matter how many times I've ridden that coaster, I still get butterflies in my stomach by the end of the countdown.

Make sure you lean your head back against the seat cuz sometimes people get a whipplash.

This is why the countdowns have been added to these type of rides .People tend to be looking out the side or talking to each other .This is not good when your head is turned and your pulling Gs'

There has always been a countdown, but I think it's kind of faint. I didn't notice it until my 2nd or 3rd time on RnRC.

King of faint, they practicaly yell the numbers. Not to mention they are being displayed on the LED sign in front of the vehicle.

Seems to me like the countdown wasn't there in the very early years of RNR...first rode it in 2000 (didn't it open summer 1999?) and don't recall it. Though it has been there the last 2-3 years at least.

Its always been there. Sometimes minds play tricks on you.

I only noticed it because the teenagers in the "car" in front of us were screaming the countdown...

THe thing about the countdown is... they say 5, 4, 3, 2, and it goes on 1.... shouldn't it go on 0????? That always catches me off guard!

No. I have never heard a countdown that went to 0.
