Rockin' Rollercoaster

I have heard "Sweet Emotion" and "Dude Looks like a Lady" play on the ride. Are there any other songs ???? .... I am soooo pumped to try this ride with my hubby, 9 yo daughter, 9 yo niece and 8 yo nephew.

Depending on which coaster you are on you could hear:

Dude (Looks Like a Lady), Walk this Way, Love in an Elevator(which has been changed to 'Love in a Roller Coaster' as you pull in to the station at the end of the ride), Sweet Emotion, Young Lust, F.I.N.E., Back in the Saddle, and Nine Lives have been heard. Plus, What Kind of Love are You On? is played in the event of a failure (info from rocknrollercoaster.com)

Having the whole coaster singing during the ride is a hoot - have heard Dude, walk this way, love in a rollar coaster and sweet emotion.

wooo hoo! Will have to have the kids practice the song lyrics so we can sing along on the ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope I'll be able to sing instead of SCREAM!

For a good memento - look up and to the right as the ride goes off with your best rocker smile or pose - surprise you are on candid camera!!! Some people give a big thumbs up, air guitar, etc.

No, as everyone said, No steep drops. But...it does go so fast fast FAST. The takeoff is like whiplash if you don't brace yourself. I did find several people who went before me say that it was a little jarring and scared them a little. I am not trying to tell you not to do it, but I know for years I didn't really like roller coasters and would have wanted everyone to tell me the good and the bad.

This ride is about speed and very fast turns. If the only thing that scares you is drops, then you will be okay. If you are afraid of non stop fast rides with curves galore, then this is not the ride for you.

it doesn't really have the 'click click click i'm going to die when i get to the top of the hill" sensation since the take off is so stinking fast! i like rc in general but thinkthose in the dark ( like rnr) are easier on the brain due to not seeing the drops and not looking down, far far down to the ground in some other cases. if you don't mind loops i think you might just like it...

You should definitely try it and see if you like it. There's no big drops, it's fun because of the speed. My mom absolutely hates big drops and big thrill rides. She went on Tower of Terror once and hated it, she wouldn't talk to my dad for awhile after that for making her go on. She promised she would try RnRC because she likes Aerosmith. She really didn't like it, but she didn't hate it as much as ToT. So now she can at least say she did it. So I would try it at least once if I were you. If you really hate it, just don't go on again! :)

I hear you. I am trying to get DW to promise to ride this for my bday in Oct. I guess I will take her promising to ride TOT. I cannot wait for that picture....

Just wanted to let you know that just like you I was nervous ... BUT after RnR, I loved it sooooo much that I started doing more coasters. Being in the dark makes it a lot easier, its fast and not bumpy. Also, hold your head as steady as possible and Have a great time :cool1:

I also hate drops, LOVE RNRC!!! I hate the clicking noise most coasters make as you go up the hill, this one doesn't even give you a chance to get anxious. It's so smooth, BTW I hate SM, but love this ride. Try it, I hope you enjoy.

I love RnR!! :) and I am a chicken when it comes to Rollercoasters. lol I HATED SM , scared me to death. hehe I think it was mostly because it was in the dark, and the only thing keeping you from falling out is a tiny little T bar. RnR they hook you up good so you don't have to worry about falling out. The take off is the scariest part, and before you start getting squemish and scared it's all over! (like a visit to the dentists ;) )

I totally avoided this one out of sheer and utter terror of coasters. Especially one I couldn't see before I ride it. But you guys have got me nearly convinced.

I was at MK a couple of weeks ago and my 9 year old niece actually convinced me to go on SM and BTMR. She's very convincing and she looks up to me a lot so I didn't want to disappoint her. Neither one bothered me at all. I can't believe I had been such a chicken about them. I even went on SM three times in a row. It was a piece of cake. :lovestruc

Now we are going back again within the next month and I know she will ask me to go on this. I probably will after reading everyone's reviews and having my brave little niece by my side, anxious to go on. It doesn't sound too bad. The only thing that worries me are the loops. I guess you go so fast you don't notice them too bad but I am still not so sure about being upside down. :earseek:

I must admit that I hate any roller coaster that goes upside down. At the time my DS7 and I were at MGM Studios. I made a deal with him that if he went on it with DH and like it I would go on it with him. Not thinking that he would actually like it. Big surprise, he LOVES the ride. So I had to go on it with him and DH!! I must admit that it isn't that bad!! I make a big deal out of it though with him. He gets a kick out of thinking that Mom is scared to go on a ride that he loves!! LOL!!

Seriously though as roller coaster's go this one isn't that bad.

Not a rollercoaster fan either, but RnRC is one of my favorite rides. It does start off fast. So, put your head right back against the headrest...don't put any ponytail holders in if you have long hair...that take-off pushes your head hard against the headrest and I've heard some ladies complain about it hurting if they had ponytails in. Smile a big one as you take off...for the camera. Then, you head into that first loop. The only way I knew I was going upsidedown was when my shoulders hit the shoulder harness!! It's that smooth. Incredible. Another inversion, a few corkscrews and it's over...way too soon. You will actually enjoy this one....I'm another one who isn't that crazy about Space Mt. but dd loves it so I have to go on it. That one I just close my eyes, clamp my jaw nice and tight and go for it.
Since RnRC is in the dark, you don't get that 'see it before it happens' thing. It really isn't bad. Try it and then report back to us!!!

This is not your traditional coaster. I am afraid of heights. That weighs heavily into my coaster riding. My fear has not really kept me from many coasters but makes me think twice about some of them. My wife and I rode RR a couple of years ago for the first time and we loved it. She is a real coaster lover. That was an easy sell for her. This is a modern coaster and it is all inside. It is dark to boot and the track cannot be easily seen. It is just fast and over before you want it to be. I hate Space Mountain due to the drops even though you cannot see everything well and the drops are not big. This coaster beats that easy. You need to do this ride. Just be aware of the speed launch. This ride takes off in a hurry and never slows down until the end.
