This thrill ride features a high-speed launch of 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds, three inversions, two rollover loops and one corkscrew -- all firsts for a Walt Disney World attraction.
My fiance and brother rode it to test it out for me (I was a chicken with POTC until this last trip to give you some background info) and they don't think I could handle it. They said it's a little intense in the beginning, but it all happens really fast. I'm now a fan of BTMRR, but I don't think I could handle RNRC. YMMV.
RNRC is so much smoother than the other coasters. I'm not a big thrill ride junkie, and I still love it. It's far easier to ride than even Goofy's Barnstormer, which is actually quite a rough (and I mean that literally!!!) ride.
It isn't a roller coaster in the same sense as Space Mountain. It's faster, smoother and quicker. In my old age, I get queasy on space Mt., but not RnR, even though I go upside down.
I must agree. I'm a roller coaster junkie and this coaster is the smoothest one I've ever been on. Even DH who usually had a challenge with motion sickness rode this three times in a row. It is by far our favorite attraction in MGM. DS also picked an Aerosmith song for his black belt testing because that was the song playing while we rode the RRC the first time. BTW, each time we had different songs. Disney sure knows how to put the whole package together. The preshow is fun but the 'driving in LA' theming is outstanding!! DH said the best thing about that ride is that it is close to the smoked Turkey leg stand - but that's another story!
