I planned a roast chicken for dinner tonight. My friend called this morning to go shopping with her but I hesitated because it was the only real block of time I had to do the chicken. It was 7 pounds and I figured about two hours, unstuffed.

My friend said, Oh, I'll be home later, I'll cook it for you. So I go over after my first part time job is over. It's been in the oven for two and a half hours and it's not done. Now, she cooks it different than I do - puts foil on it and turns it up side down in the pan.

Now, I'm in a panic. I run home and throw it in my oven but I only had twenty minutes because I have to get to part time job #2.

The meat thermometer reads 160. I take it out, wrap it and put it in my refridge.

My question is - should I go home and finish cooking it or will we all die of food poisioning and I should throw it out??

I love roast chicken because it's so darn easy. Never thought one would give me so much trouble!!

I'm not an expert, but with the chicken coming directly from the oven into the refrig. it might be spoiled or such.
