I just thought that since our trip down to WDW was so nice, that I would write about our trip home.
The first leg of the trip has started out a little rough.
I left behind all my skincare and make-up at Old Key West.
We left Disney world at 2am in the morning on New Year's day.
I drove to Daytona Beach that morning and checked in at a Holiday Inn about 4 am.
It was at this point I realized what I had left behind.
John, being the wonderful husband that he is drove back to Disney that morning after some much needed sleep, so I could get my toiletrie bag.
When we got there, I went in to claim my bag and the woman standing beside me could not believe we had come back for it.
Her words were "My husband would not do that for me", at which time her husband came up beside her, looked at her, she explained, and he said "That would be the day. Have you heard of Wal-Mart?"
I looked at him and said "Not for skin care and make-up" .

I am supposed to be driving home as John's licence has expired and he has to re-write, due to holding a DZ licence, but he won't let me.
We were supposed to be home before his birthday! Oops!!

So off we go!
We stopped at a Cracker Barrel in Florida right near the state line before entering into Georgia, that was at 4:30pm.
I have to say it was great timing as the place got packed quick and there was a line up of people waiting to be seated.
Just a couple of notes here....
1. The food was good.
2. I had something called Hushpuppies which I have never had before.
3. They have an aweful lot of Alan Jackson stuff. What is that about?
So back in the car we go!
We got off I-95 to get gas in Georgia.
Now I know what you are thinking, Katherine this is not note worthy, but wait for it....
I look up and there is a billboard advertising a new building in town.
The town is Richmond Hill, Georgia! I know you still don't see, but we are from Richmond Hill, Ontario! WOW!!!!!

So we take a little drive and snap a few pictures so we can show our friends at home.
Well then we see a police crusier and I make John stop!
The police car was a Charger, nice!
I walk up and explain to the officer where we are from and could we take a picture of his cruiser. He was very nice and we chatted for a few minutes.
He gave the boys stickers that look like a badge and they say Junior Officer on them well the boys are thrilled.

So we drive some more and make it to our destination for tonight which is Columbia, Sc at another Holiday Inn.
So John has checked the weather and we will be taking the long way home due to about 4" of snow coming right for the route we were going to take through the WV mountains.
Below is a list of places were are going to be going through.
If anyone would like a quick meet just post here, or pm me.
