RNRC re-do rumors?

Hey, many of my young Facebook friends are reporting that RNRC is being closed and then re-done into some Jonas Brothers attraction. I have no idea where they are getting this info. Anyone know anything????

It's rumored that Steven Tyler is leaving Aerosmith and that Disney will re-theme the ride if this happens.

People like to start rumors about Disney re-theming their rides to the Jonas Brothers or Miley Cyrus, etc. But I've never seen any evidence to back those rumors.

this rumor went around about a year ago waaaay before the announcement of the split. so i doubt there is any truth to it. i mean i know JB is Disney and my DD LOVES them but to me they haven't been around long enough to get a ride named after them.

This rumor floats to the surface every few months (in fact, it used to be High School Musical or Hannah Montana that were supposed to be the new theme). Disney has the rights to keep using Aerosmith's songs and the footage they filmed for the attaction even if Steven Tyler leaves (or is booted from) the band, and I doubt they will change it without a very good reason. Then again, after the Epcot Lights of Winter lame 'obsolete technology' excuse, anything's possible!

Tyler has come out and said that it was a rumor and he is staying with the band. Hope that's the truth.

I said this as a joke on another thread when people started thinking that it would be changed due to the impending break up of Aerosmith.

I hope I did not give some genius at Disney an idea

That's so true! Unknowingly made that hand gesture on the ride to be funny! Disney won't even let you SEE that picture, let alone buy it! Never figured out how that has stayed there so long!

NO way this is true. Cmon folks!

A) Tyle isnt leaving the band. He himself confirmed that

B) Even if Aerosmith ended today, the band is still highly popular and will be for year making the ride relevant if not MORESO.

C) Seriously even if you like the JOnas, you gotta know that's a fad. As soon as they hit puberty (theirs seems to be taking a while), they'll be a better Hanson.

It during the pre show, Tyler uses an obscure (well until everyone heard about it on these boards) hand gesture when he shades his eyes looking out through the glass.

I would imagine that Disney would have noticed any gesture. I wouldn't read too much into how someone scratches their head. Anyone remember all the fuss about hidden words and so on in Disney films?

I rather doubt he was intentionally trying to "shock" anyone.
