RnR To Be Reimagined?

I cannot find the article anymore by searching for it now, only one of the same title from 2014. I agree with PPs that they seem to be nothing but click bait & that it would not make any sense for WDW to close RnR anytime soon (or at least before the opening of both new lands) since it is one of their most popular attractions in the park.

I do enjoy the ride as it is & am not tired of it. But being reimagined with Guardians of the Galaxy might be pretty fun, too. :)
Pretty much isn't that the only reason why The Great Movie Ride is staying for MGM 3.0? I kept hearing up until the TCM sponsorship it was on the chopping block and the last rumor I heard about it was Guardians of the Galaxy-related. I was completely up for an E-Ticket Guardians ride taking up that space, Universal might not be as happy with the contract loopholes though

It's one of the reasons. From what I understand it also does good business as a private function location. Apparently people have events where their guests are surrounded by the Wizard of Oz set and stuff like that.

I wish they would get rid of that music that they play so loud while you are riding. There should at least be a on/off if you want it or not

That's the whole point of the ride...

I believe there are actually versions of that track in non-Disney parks. So I guess if you can find out where else Vekoma installed that track and go there instead for a themeless version.

At that point why not just head for your local Six Flags?

I just made a suggestion there is no need to be ignorant about it in your last 2 posts. If you don't like my suggestion just say so or move on

I'm not "being ignorant" I'm saying your suggestion doesn't make any sense to me. It would strip the ride of what makes it different to any of a hundred other coasters.

I respect your opinion. Not everyone is an Aerosmith fan but still enjoy thrill rides & that's understandable. :goodvibes My Mother had health issues with her ears where noise that was normal level to most people was extremely painful to her so she would agree with you on that one for that reason. I felt bad for her when we went a couple years ago because she enjoyed the rides but some of them really hurt her ears which took away some enjoyment of course.

Would you prefer another band or theme entirely or to keep the current theme & just get rid of the music as you ride?

People should have a choice IMO on/off and with a volume. But when I said this before some people didn't like it. Even thou it wouldn't effect their ride.

The ride is the way it was intended to be. Each vehicle you are in plays a different Aerosmith song. Part of the experience is getting it blasted into your ears while you go upside down and do inversions.

I've seen those events that take place in The Great Movie Ride. Honestly want to attend one before I die just to see the ride as a hyped up fan with the lights on and no vehicles. And it is popular, before Fastpass+ it was always walk in straight to the trailer theater (which I miss desperately :( ). Whenever I went on it in 2014 not only have I never (at least in my memory) enter through the side of the theater but also had to wait inside of it. While I mentioned missing the trailers I might as well get this off my chest: the new finale sucks. Whenever I first saw it I wanted to cry it was that terrible. This is also coming from someone who also doesn't think Stitch's Great Escape is a total atrocity, that's how disappointed I am with the new finale. I've been watching the old one alot recently because Martin just did his tribute for it still gives me Goosebumps no matter how many times I rewatch it. New one is just a glorified commercial for TCM (like Mr. Osborne said at the beginning of it, here's more of what you'll find every day here on TCM) and over-emphasizes the Disney films (Steps in Time as a great dance number compared to the Show Boat transition they had? The Monsters, Inc. Score now playing instead of Axel F?). Don't get me wrong I love Disney movies and the two parts that I just mentioned but it never felt right for the finale. I think it's funny the last time they updated the finale in 2006 when the ride had no sponsorship Disney didn't pat themselves on the back, and I feel like it was TCM who did the back-patting as I think they were the ones who did the new finale. Just, grrrrr.!!!!!! I'm sorry I had to get that off my chest

Do you mean turn it down a little? Kind of a wuss so I wouldn't know about Rock N' Roller Coaster's volume but I feel the same away about Thunder Mountain. I swear they put a microphone in the chain lift and have amplifiers just blasting that clicking of the chains it is so loud and uncomfortable I want to cut my ears off. So I understand your pain

With all due respect... I don't think Eoghann's post was meant to offend you in any way. He, along with a couple other posters, made a solid point. There are many tracks similar to the one in RnR. However, this one is unique as it is an Aerosmith themed ride, and is intended to blast Aerosmith music while enjoying the thrill of the ride. To take that away would be kind of...pointless. I'm not trying to stir the pot, but I can understand the questioning of your original post.

replace Aerosmith with Babymetal....kid-friendly :p

Ha, that would certainly be...interesting? Though I'd rather see Ladybeard in the pre-show!

I had no idea different songs were played! Though, TBH, I can't even remember which songs I've gotten...

After they add Star Wars and Pixar to DHS they could change RnR into the Monsters Inc door roller coaster everyone talks about and redo ToT into Wreck it Ralph to tie it in with the rest of the park. Have Ralph accidentally knock the elevator down and have Felix save you just in time? Then maybe add another path over to the animation courtyard that will have other Pixar rides.

Please no...
