I'm Concerned about the room I was assisigned. I'm in room 6465. I see it is right near the elevators and is also a connecting room. I will not know the people on the other side of the door. My DH is a light sleeper and with DD age 10 & 11 we are not used to screaming kids.:( Just Moody ones LOL
Am I just getting the pre cruise jitters:confused:
Has any one stayed there or near by. I know I'll Have a great time even if the room Isn't as quite as I would like.

We stayed in 6564 in November and we loved the room and the location of it. We had family staying in the adjoining room so that was not an issue for us. It wasn't noisy at all.

Have a great vacation!

Thank you so much.
That makes me so much better. I was worried alot of elevator traffic would be noisy. I'm Very happy that is not the case. :wave2:

Were in 6564 on the Magic last June. Fantastic location, just aft of the elevator lobby. Easy to get to the room (and find for the kids), easy up and down the stairs. Very "middle" of the ship. There is an alcove behind the elevators with art on the walls. The alcove hallway is where room service leaves the cart while servicing nearby rooms, so you never have to squeeze around them. Good place for luggage the last night too. It was very quiet and is a connecting room. Don't know if Praveen is still servicing these rooms or not. Not too far down the hallway if you need laundry or ironing.

The veranda has grab handles on the top of the dividers between the neighbor's veranda's and is easy to tie a clothes line to hang stuff to dry.

When we sailed, the toilet vents in the floor behind the commodes stayed full of water, so we never had sewer gas in the room like some folks have reported in other cabins.

The shower had good water pressure and heated quickly. I did not have to replace the shower head with my own like I usually do when I travel in hotels (I hate restricted flow shower heads, and travel with my own and a pair of plyers).

Unlike what some people complain about, the hair dryer in this room worked very well. Although they are a hose connected to the heater/blower unit, the hose got very hot to the touch with forceful air coming out. It worke as well as any 1500 Watt handheld hair dryer.

The cool box worked as designed and kept or chocolate milk and white milk an acceptable temperature (although these units are designed to cool to 45 to 50 degrees F, same as a public water fountain). We like COLD soft drinks, so we always had ice brough twice a day for our collapsable cooler.

As of June, no iron, cigarette, or other burns. Matresses were comfortable on all beds, room was clean (even under the beds and couch). All hardware in the room and baths were in good repair and like-new condition.

The A/C worked, but if you opened the veranda door during the tropical noon the room quickly lost its chill. It would take about 30 minutes to recover. We typically left the system at its coolest setting 24/7 as it was easiest to moderate to a warmer temperature by opening the veranda for a minute or so if it got too cool.

I hope this covers all the bases...

Dana
