Riviera without the Skyliner

If Pop is open, it will be for the sports and they are not using the skyliner anyway. Disney has been pretty clear that cash guests will be going to DVC properties for now.

The heaviest use of Skyliner was for Aoa/Pop/CB (all closed). These resorts are all complete beasts in size compared to RIV and BC/BW. The link between Hollywood Studios and Epcot matters, but with no park hopping not so much.

Guess it depends on how much staff/money it takes to run a barely used Skyliner compared to buses. So, maybe it will be open? Even if Disney is planning on running it, I can see why they wouldn't announce it.

They announced Pop opening in mid/late July

I think with pop opening on July 10 there is a high likelihood of the skyliners being in operation. Our trip is early September and by then all the other skyliner resorts will be open so I am confident we will be able to use it.

We were also told that the skyliner is being planned for AKL.

That path was incomplete for MANY years.

The BW resort and BWV opened in 1996. The pathway was incomplete when we first visited in 1998 but had opened by the time we purchased BWV in 2000. I don’t know exactly when it opened, since it was not then on my radar screen, but it appears that it was not available for perhaps 4 of the 24 years that the BW has been around.
