They don't like it because it takes away from their direct sales and cause them administrative work (costs) without them getting anything in return.
This is actually a decent point -- setting up a new account does take time and effort on their end. Perhaps they should start adding in an administrative transfer fee to new resorts? $100-$200 would be reasonable.
