We recently enjoyed a stay in a 1 bedroom preferred view at RR. The villa was beautiful and very spacious. However, the preferred room view left something to be desired. Our view was partial lagoon/skyliner but mostly road and Epcot ball behind the trees. It was very noisy from road traffic and not a very pretty view.

As I understand it, preferred view is also a view of the pool and lawn area with the lagoon and Caribbean beach in the background (which is a beautiful view). That is a much quieter experience as well.
I’m wondering if DVC will rethink the category view for the room we were in? 8317 was the number. Other than that, the place is gorgeous, quick service options very good, pools and grounds beautiful and service exemplary.

If they realign that unit to Standard another will need to take its place in terms of point distribution.

Thank you. If we ever stay there again in the future I will go with standard view because that particular preferred view isn’t worth the points to us.

Funny, we were just talking about these rooms at home and of all the PV rooms at Riviera, the Skyliner/Partial Lagoon would be the one we'd prefer. Good to know about the road noise, we wouldn't want that.

Views of the pool or of other people's rooms/balconies is a big negative for us.

I would follow up with MS by email to share your thoughts. It is always possible for adjustments later on, especially since it’s not all been declared yet.

I think it’s good for them to have feedback.

Wouldn’t mind the road noise so much if the points weren’t charged at previewed view rates.
