just took a look at points chart.
How small will the tower studios be?
Do we have any photos of the new room layouts?
When is booking expected to open?

Points will go on sale for members on Wednesday (March 27th) and to the general public on April 15th. Members can book the resort as of April 10th. The resort opens on Dec 16th, so technically only members who own at that resort will be able to book on April 10th. The 7-month window will open in May 16, but keep in mind, only points purchased directly from Disney can be used at this resort.

It’s not just Direct it’s only direct for those that purchased after 1/19/19. The policy since 1/19/19 is

“Effective January 19, 2019, only Members who purchase directly from Disney will be able to use their Vacation Points at the 14 existing Disney Vacation Club Resorts and Disney Vacation Club’s future resort, Disney’s Riviera Resort. Resale contracts purchased for the existing 14 Disney Vacation Club Resorts will only be able to exchange Points into those 14 Resorts.

Resale contracts purchased prior to January 19, 2019 will have access to Disney’s Riviera Resort. Contracts gifted to family members will continue to have the same Resort access as before the ownership transfer.”

So yeah new resorts when resold can only trade into their resort. The original 14 can trade among each other always.

Oh OK. At least you can trade into the 14. We bought directly from Disney, but all these restrictions will make it hard to sell points.

To answer the question about the Tower Studio, they will be 255 sq ft as compared to the studio at 423 sq ft.

Yep. For those who purchase haphazardly or who find themselves facing unforeseen, hard financial times down the road may take a bath.

The DVC site has a single representative picture of each type (tower studio through GV) which will give you an idea. I've read that tours of model rooms have started (or will in the next day or so), thus I would expect pictures to flood social media sites soon.

They also have had some photos of the rooms on the WDW resort booking website for awhile as they started taking reservations a few weeks ago for cash stays at Riviera. Probably the same as on the DVC website but I haven't looked there.

As @KAT4DISNEY said there are real photos of the room for the Studio, 1 Bedroom, and what I assume is a 2 Bedroom Lockoff. The Tower Studio and Grand Villas are artist renderings as no model for them were built.
