Riviera Dec Short Stay Question

DW and I are going on the treasure next December and will be staying 2 nights before our cruise at WDW. We have wanted to try the Riviera to see what all the hype is about, plus we LOVE Topolinos for dinner and wanted to try breakfast as well. Couple of questions:

1) We are looking at a Thurs/Fri night in mid December, at the 7 month mark is there any hope?
2) I have plenty of points, what room type would you suggest for our first time, should we splurge for the 1BR or go with a Studio (Not really interested in a Duo, but ill take it if its my only option).

I am going to grab a reservation at 11 months at the Poly, just in case, so we will have something.

1BDRM will be much easier to get at 7 months. They are very nice.

The first and second weeks of December book up faster than the 3rd week (roughly the week Dec. 14-19 in 2026).

I agree with above, go for the 1BR. Not only will it be easier to book, they're gorgeous!

If you can't book it at 7 months, waitlist it! You have nothing to lose!

(Make a backup cash reservation in case it doesn't come through but make it something you can cancel when it does.)
