I' trying to read the entire thread but honestly, those resort threads are way too long. Couple questions I have not seen answer to yet.

1. I saw where the resort rents fishing poles? How good is the fishing? Can you bring your own poles and fish??

2. How far a walk from POR to POFQ..food area to food area??

Well..
1. we rented the cane poles last August..and I believe you can bring your own poles. However, the fishing hole is not big at all and we didnt get a nibble (was out there for about 2hrs). When I talked to the dude, he stated the best time to fish was early morning (we went about 10:30ish). They do have bait worms you can buy at the shack. You fish from the pier not from a bank.
2. The walk depends on which building you are located. They say about an 10-15 minute walk. I did not do the walk but we did drive over to the other resort for dinner one night. They have different selections over there and they were yummy (pot roast with dirty rice and corn bread) BUT i was really disapointed with the beingets If you do not have your own wheels and dont want to walk the boat that takes you to DTD does stop first the french quarter so you could hitch a ride over there.

I would go over to POFQ for the biegnets, theyre so good!! I love them. Other than the biegnets, i wouldnt bother. Nothing else stands out to me.
