Rivers of light or EMH epcot

Bare with me.
we have base tickets and i have my itinerary made. Just saw that December schedule for Rivers of light is out. Do I switch our AK day for our Epcot day since the day we go to AK won't have RoL? Our Epcot day was on dec 5 and EMH day so we would get an extra 2 hours at night. Our AK day was dec 4. We were going to take our time going to ak on the 4th (9:30am and we are staying at AKl so drive won't be long)since we will be at MVMCP the 3rd.
On our Epcot day we were going to do rope drop so we can get fast passes for frozen and hit soarin and test track at rope drop, go back to resort and come back for a late night there. If we switch it to dec 4 so we can do AK on the 5th, we won't get as much time at Epcot (have to leave resort super early to get there for 9) my husbands favorite park and hitting rope drop will be harder after a night at mvmcp.
Is RIvers of lights worth the park switches?

Not in my opinion. Plus, that is a busy week and it's possible more ROL more shows may be added a few weeks before your trip.

I expect RoL will be updated to daily

But if not, I would not switch days just to make room for RoL

Ok good to know. Wasn't sure if it was similar to fantasmic or not. We love walking around the countries but don't want to miss something new that we've never experienced if it's worth it.

I agree ...

ROL is nice, but not something I would tell someone they absolutely had to see. I would rather spend more time in Epcot experiencing the holiday decorations and booths - particularly if it is your husband's favorite park.

I have searched to find out the Dec 2017 schedule for RoL but can't seem to find it. Do you have a link to it or tell me where to find it, please? We have 2 days for AK slated so far and it is not showing on our Nov day so I am hoping we can see it on our Dec day.

Look at the show schedule only for ROL. The schedule is out for Nov and Dec.

If you look at the show/dinner package schedule that's not out yet. That will be available 90 days out.

Just to concur with PPs... we would not alter plans for late Epcot EMH to do RoL instead. Though as others have said, that schedule may change as well.

No it's not similar at all to Fantasmic

RoL is water floats, water spraying up with different colors and projections of animals. There's no loud noises, fireworks, or Disney characters

I would not change any plans to see RoL. We went in May and were super excited to see the show. We got in line really early and got fantastic seats. After the show was over, all 5 (two adults and three kids ranging from 8 YO to 12 YO) of us agreed that we have no interest in seeing the show again... even if they saved us the best seats in the house, and we could enter as the show was starting. We love evening entertainment, but RoL missed the mark big time IMO. I have never felt so underwhelmed at Disney.
