I am debating on booking a Rivers of Light dining package but I really have no interest in Tiffins or Tusker House. How does the Rivers of Light fast pass work? Should I just bite the bullet and do the dining package? We really want to see this for our trip in april.

The FP works the same as the Dinning Plan the seating is just the other side of the amphitheater.

Depends on what your other ride priorities are. If you are really looking forward to it, FP it.

If you don't want to dine at either then there's no reason to do the dining plan.

With the FP or dining package you'll still need to show up early, just not quite as early as standby. Just get the FP and show up 45 min or more ahead of showtime. If I were doing standby I'd show up 60 min or more

Will there be no option to FP+ ROL 60 days out similar to Fantasmic?

Just FYI, on Tuesday the standby line was huge a little after 6pm (I think the end was near The Adventurer's Outpost). The cast member marking the end of the line was telling people they had a 50/50 chance of getting a seat at that point. Go for the FP+!

I would recommend going to the Rivers of Light thread on the Disney Rumors and News Forum. I did reviews of this past Sunday and Tuesday. My Tuesday review was a more in depth review of my fastpass experience. I also mentioned a little bit of my Dining Package experience on Sunday. The post above is correct. The stand-by line on Tuesday went all the way to the Mickey and Minnie M&G on Discovery Island, and that was 6 p.m.

I just don't want to post the reviews twice, so you will find it on this thread:

We got a FP+.
It would be a Dining Package or FP+ for the reason below (that is insane).
No way I am standing in line all that time to not get in or waste even more time to be at the front of the line.

Not with the dining package correct? Just 60 days out?

FP+ books 60 days out but because they announced the opening of the show right away it was already inside the 60. But they have been adding shows so just the other day I changed my FP+ from my show to the new show they added on easily.

Dining Packages only go out so far right now, I guess while they figure out show days ... you know because they've only had a year to figure out this show :rolleyes1 ....... but once it settles you should be able to book at 180 days like others.
