Rivers of Light Dining Package Lookout Thread - NOW ACCEPTING RESERVATIONS

YAY!!!! Tusker dinner package is booked!

Did the same !! I had booked the TH bfast, but we are not really bfast ppl --- usually just have a piece of fruit of bowl of cereal. Just got a 4:45PM dinner --- I'm sure (and sorry if been asked before) that I read it somewhere, but are the characters there at dinner too ? Tia !!!

I'm seeing it both ways. On disneys website, it shows Tusker House breakfast package for $37 adults includes tax and gratuity. Every touring site reports PLUS tax and gratuity. Has anyone else noticed and clarified?

Checked and it looks like you can only book packages until Sept. 5th. I'm wondering when they will open up for later dates?

swapped out our tusker house lunch reservation for Jungle book. Any idea on the cost? is it the same as the character meal, or is it different? Also, does this mean that the this is the show for River of light and river of light won't be happening at all this summer? Wills our reservations transfer over to see river of light?

Finally we have a 5:30 pm reservation for Whispering Canyon. I thought that would be find to make it to the show. Should we make it earlier?

Me too. I wasn't planning on visiting AK while we are there but I don't know when we'll get back so I'm thinking I should check out JB or ROL or whatever its going to be at that point in Sept.

Yay - I snagged a dinner ADR for TH on 8/27!!! Been up since 6 am trying to get one, and then I had to take my boys to a birthday party and was afraid I'd miss the window when it finally got loaded, but I got one! So happy!

So does has anyone found out for sure if the Rivers of Light Dining packages will be covered by DDP as dining Credits? or will it have an additional cost on top of your DDP credit? thanks

This is from DPB (https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/b...nge-opening-may-27-at-disneys-animal-kingdom/):

Similar to the popular Fantasmic! Dining Packages at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Dining Package includes reserved seating for the nighttime show. At all-you-care-to-eat Tusker House Restaurant, you can choose the breakfast, lunch or dinner buffet on the day of the show (but you have to dine at least 2 ½ hours before the show). Breakfast is $37, $23 ages 3 to 9, plus tax and gratuity; lunch and dinner, $49, $30 ages 3 to 9, plus tax and gratuity. Tusker House Restaurant is on the Disney Dining Plan and counts as one table-service meal.

At Tiffins, the package includes your choice of appetizer, entrée, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage at either lunch or dinner. The Dining Package is $67 for adults, $32 ages 3 to 9, plus tax and gratuity. Tiffins is on the Disney Dining Plan and counts as two table-service meal credits.

Some have reported phone CMs saying their system says DDP is accepted and email must be a mistake.

Thanks for the info.

So is the cost of $67 for Dining package at Tiffins an additional cost on top of the 2 TB meal Credits?

No it will not be an additional cost; only the 2 TS credits will be used. (If the dining plan is accepted) :goodvibes

I was able to get exactly what I wanted and when I wanted it for the Jungle Book dining package. Initially this morning I went online from my desktop (yes, I still have one of those, LOL) at 5:58 am and got myself ready. At 6:00 nothing; at 6:01 nothing; at 6:02 nothing; at 6:03 it popped up showing me the early dinner I wanted at Tiffins for a party of 8 at 4:30 with 1st showing for June 7th. I wanted an early dinner so that we had plenty of time to do things around the park before the show, and I wanted the first seating so that I could hit some of the attractions later in the evening. That and while I like Tusker House for breakfast, the only lunch/dinner buffets I like are Boma and Biergarten. :woohoo:

I was able to switch to a TH dinner rather than breakfast late last night which made me happy. Thank you to all who have posted updates. We've never done dinner so we are going to try it. Breakfast has always been one of my kids' favorite, but perhaps because Donald is there, my son's fave (and soon to be 25).

I did the same, worked out great.

Weve had the dinner, the food is a good selection for all. You'll enjoy it I'm sure, and will be cool seeing the park at night. Will give it a different feel.

Thank you!! It will be something new. We like our AK day to be slower and now with all this new exciting "stuff" it could be rather packed so doing the dinner makes it a slower morning.

Had a 10:50 TH breakfast and got the same time for the same day. Switched to from Safari to Firefox and went from nothing to showing the time I wanted. I would clear cookies, too. Sometimes the website gets picky (at least it does for me especially when trying to book hotel). Good luck and keep trying!!

I took a chance and tried this with our standard breakfast ADR this morning. It worked! I had the Disney website open in Safari on my IPad with the dining package pulled up. I then cancelled our regular ADR on the app on my phone, and then searched again on the website. The 10:20 breakfast package was there!

I'm happy that we can now get our ability to use Fastpass back for the afternoon by dropping the Jungle Book FP. I hope this was the right choice. I always second guess myself.

If there are only 2 shows at night, how can they offer breakfast and lunch with the package?.. I took a 10:50 breakfast to take advantage of both buffets.. my confirmation says Jungle Book 1st viewing

It seems like all of the packages so far, Tiffins and TH, breakfast, lunch, or dinner, are getting the 1st show. I have Tiffins for 6pm and got the first show. Someone posted with a 7pm Tiffins and got the 1st show. It will get worked out. I would think you would have first show, with it being so early, no matter if they decide to switch people around.
