Will tomorrow be the day? No April Fools for us if it is!! We can only hope since it will be 1 month out from May 1st and that's one of the rumoured dates that the RoL dining packages will begin.

If it's not soon I can't help but question if things aren't going quite as planned and possibly they won't meet their launch date of April 22nd for Rivers of Light. The RoL package first showed up on the android app on Feb 23rd which is quite a long time ago.

LOL! Just my thoughts though...nothing official here.

Looks like Tiffins will not be opening until summer. This is one of the restuarnts rumored to be included with the Rivers of Light dining packages:

I find it interesting that none of the sites have updated their crowd calendars based on ROL opening to the public on 4/22. Just about all off them still say AK will be low (the lowest of the parks) that day.

I think it's because the Park hours haven't been updated yet. WIth the recent rumors of Technical Delays, I think this gets pushed back by a month. If I don't hear anything by Monday, I'm going to just assume AK closes at 6 PM and go to dinner at the Wave instead.

There's lots of speculation on other threads and other Disney fan sites that the opening of Rivers of Light may be delayed due to continuing technical issues. The opening may be delayed until sometimes in May. If this info is accurate, this is most likely the reason that the dining packages have also been delayed.

My friend who is a head writer from Chip and Co told me that the rumor was that the packages were going to be released after 2am this morning. I of course set my alarm and unfortunately nothing new was mentioned. I just spoke to WDW tours and dining and they said tech difficulties are preventing the announcement and that the 22 launch may not happen.

I'm sure this answers our questions about Rivers of Light dining packages for the time being. Looks like it might be mid to late May before we find out more about those too.

BUMMER. I booked our FP's last night for our June trip - scheduled 2 evenings at AK with some placeholder FP's for now. Guess the lurking & waiting will continue indefinitely. HUGE waste / loss of productive time. I just don't want to miss when they extend park hours & release FP's for the safari & ROL.

Me too! We are going next week and I had given up hope for a preview while we are there, but we have another trip planned for July. Unfortunately we are staying offsite in July.

Yes, I noted that as well which means this is a significant delay, one of this magnitude would've been known long before now. Makes you wonder why they waited so long to announce it. I could understand postponing the announcement of delay if they were trying to get close enough to when they could reset the date, but if they can't even reset the date, then it's a long way off yet, I would think.

We go in late August, maybe by then?

It could be that they just don't know at this point and were hoping to resolve something that turned out to be harder than they planned. It could be parts are broken and they are waiting for new ones to be fabricated and they will be in in the next week or two. It's all speculation but I don't think it necessarily means a LONG delay just that they will have more info by then.
