Hmmm.....personally, I think it's just a rumor. I don't know why the original poster thinks that a scoop from a maintenance man has more merit than a rumor heard from a bus driver?

I think it is just a rumor also, but from a finacial point of view it makes a lot a sense. 4-6 story mid rise with lots of LV so they can charge near BLT points for a new catagory with a 2062 contract date. As an extension to VWL it need limited infrastructure and would likely lower maininance costs for currnet owners. Cost of construction per 2br unit should be less than BLT so more margin for Disney.

That could work. Something close to the Magic Kingdom is a good thing.

They have to do SOMETHING with River Country. It's been sitting their as a ghost town for how many years now? It just seems odd that Disney would allow that "inventory" / space go unused forever.

There's also a rumor of a new DVC next to Blizzard Beach. Maybe it's the same rumor with the waterpark name changed.

I'm just amazed at the potential demand for a premium timeshare such as DVC given the economy. Of course, this is Disney, so I guess it is kind of an exception to all logic!

For what its worth... my friend who works for DVC said its just a rumor. They have their hands full now with BLT and AKV. And he said it is very unlikely they would choose that location for a DVC.
