River Country & Discovery Island....

I know River Country closed not that they have the other 2 waterparks. But, their was a nature preserve island near the WL that I believe was called Discovery Island is that gone also??

Yep, it's gone, too. Once Animal Kingdom opened, they deemed it unnecessary to have Discovery Island. Like River Country, Discovery Island is "still there," but I don't think anything's on it (except maybe some alligators ).

Return to Me - Bonnie Hunt is the funniest woman on the planet and this romantic comedy (written, directed, and starring Hunt) is one of my favorite movies ever (and, yeah, I'm a guy, but I'm "man enough" to say that).

I LOVE that movie! Saw it on regular tv recently... they chopped it up terribly. I know they thought they were taking out fluff for time purposes... but the "fluff" is what makes this movie so charming! Glad to know I'm not the only one that appreciates this undiscovered gem.

BTW... have you listened to Bonnie Hunt's commentary on the DVD? Seems like half her family is in the movie.

I have listened to the DVD commentary. I want Bonnie Hunt to be my mom! Not that I don't love my mom or anything like that...Hunt just seems like so much fun...Not that my mom isn't fun or funny...I'm gonna stop now, before I dig myself into a corner that I can't get out of .

I read that Discovery Island was never very popular and maintaining it wasn't worth it to them... Sure it was a "bottom line" thing. We enjoyed it when I was a kid. It was cool under the tall trees...

Don;t even get me started on the closing of River Country... I will cry!

Me too Colleen, our family used to love RC. I remember they had a package for like 4 or 5 admissions for a certain price. We went all the time. I loved the slides that you slide down the side of a mountain type thing and then it ended and you fell the rest of the way into the water.
