River Country closed???

I just read that River Country will not open in 2002. Has anyone heard anything about this? My kids will be so disappointed. we are staying at the CR and it is so easy to go over for an hour or two swim. Also we have Premium annual passes with river country admission included. What's up??

From what we have heard, there was a problem with the water from Bay Lake getting into the swimming hole and contaminating it. In that case, I am glad they are keeping it closed until they know if it can be permanently remedied. No need to take risks like that, when they have 2 other water parks!

We have just been advised by Disney that River Country Water Park which was currently closed for the winter months will now remain closed for all of 2002.

Disney's Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon Water Parks will remain opened and should meet all of the guest needs.
