Does anyone have this Rival Ice Shaver ?

We can't find the instructions for ours and the Rival website doesn't seem to even show that it exists! It was sold at Walmart a few years ago.

If you have the instructions could you let me know? We just need a crash course in how to use it because it hasn't been used in a few years and my kids want to make snow cones. Just want to be sure there isn't anything funky beyond "put ice in the top, turn on" that we need to know.

we have the white one and thats pretty much it. put the ice in. put cover on = shaved ice...:rotfl2:

What settings does that dial on the front have? Is it something like Shave vs Crush? That's probably the only decison you have to make. I have a different ice shaver, and you've got the basic instructions right: put the ice in, close the top and turn it on. Mine you make it crush the ice by pressing down on the cover. The only other instruction, and it is important is Don't stick your fingers in it while the thing is plugged in.

If I were you, I would just go for it. Do a little experimenting and give it a try. It's not that complicated, and if something goes wrong, you just toss the ice out and start again. Just be careful of fingers ;)

Thanks. DD was convinced that she was supposed to add the liquid/syrup to the top somewhere and I never actually used it but figured that wasn't right.

Just wanted to add that since you're on WW you can make a no point snow cone using the powder drink mixes you add to water bottles. Just pick your favorite flavor (like the crystal lite or sugar free hawaiian punch mixes)and pour the powder over the shaved ice and mix it a bit and it will make a snow cone. yummy, refreshing and no points!
