Rise of the Resistance BOARDING GROUPS Superthread Part 2 *No Ride Spoilers Please* *PLEASE READ POSTS 1-3*

So, a late start with the first group called at 10:40, but then they operated non-stop until 8:30, calling 152 groups and apparently getting through all of the groups issued.

By the spreadsheet calculation, average rate of call hit 14 groups per hour for the first time. And we saw the longest streak of 130+ BG days on record for either coast at 6 days, and it is worth noting that three of the past four days exceeded 150 groups as well.

(I can't believe it's closed...)

It is a real pity that circumstances have forced us to cease operations at this time, as it really felt like we were starting to hit a stride. At the same time, issues at DHS suggest that, for the moment, successes can be fleeting and that long term stability is a ways off. As stated previously, I am hopeful that WDI will make good use of the next 18 days to do any work that would have been difficult during operations and gift us with a more reliable and efficient attraction upon re-opening.

On a personal note, I still have not canceled my arrangements for Easter week, but suspect that we will need to do so as I am not confident that DLR will be ready to re-open. Still, I remain hopeful that I will have a chance to see this technological terror firsthand.

I look forward to bright suns rising again over Batuu, even if it means they must set for a while.

I just want to say thank you to everyone on this board for sharing your tips, tricks, and ride statuses for these couple months. It helped make me feel like I was there! Thanks especially to @ironband74 for your relentless cataloguing and eternal optimism, and to @dina444444 for starting THE CHART, the data from which is invaluable and that I have shared in other fora.

My thoughts go out to everyone who is having struggles during this time, whether virus-related or not, vacation-related or not, and I applaud Disney for taking steps to mitigate this. I hope everything is back to normal in time for my scheduled visit in October, but mostly I hope everyone stays healthy and safe.

The force will be with us. Always.

... I am trying to focus on the fact that this down time will give WDI a chance to do some continuous work on ROTR that they otherwise couldn't do, and hopefully allow it to reopen as a more reliable, more efficient attraction. I am hopeful that with almost two months of operation here and over three months of operation at DHS that they have a good amount of data and can shore up the weakest links. I will be very disappointed if they just mothball it and don't make some lemonade out of these lemons.

Our bright suns will rise again.
This is my hope as well. I will be very interested to see what the first day of operations is like when the park reopens.

I also would like to thank everyone for the live updates, the fun and the tips, tricks and hints. Its been really amazing to follow this thread from the other side of the world in real time and to share everyone's happiness and excitement.

I would also like to thank you all for keeping the thread spoiler free, it really does make a difference for those of us who have trips planned.

sending a big online hug to to @ironband74 for the daily spreadsheet update. Thats a work of art and I salute you :)

As of March 14, I am still planning to travel from Ireland to California in June, maybe there is a positive in all this current world issue, that the boarding group insanity may have calmed down when the park reopens and in the summer.

We are one with the force and the force is with us

Thanks to all that have posted on this thread & the previous one. I was able to get bg 31 on Thursday and pulled 121 on Friday. Bright suns & may the force be with everyone through this crisis. Hope to be able to get back soon. Heading back home tonight before they decide to shut down the airports.

I think DLR and WDW are going to be closed a lot longer than 18 days. I suspect it will be at least 6-8 weeks. If Disney figures that out soon they may be able to do what you suggest, plus get other work done at the parks like the Indy refurb.

I do hope your trip in April happens as that would be good news not just for you but for all of us, as it means things came back to normal relatively quickly.

Thanks for all your work and everyone else's on this thread. It paid off for me last weekend big time. I got into DLR on its final weekend before the closure. Who knew? Rode ROTR 3 times and got to hang out with my adult kids for a few days and have a great time at Oga's! I feel very fortunate and blessed.

Best wishes to all of you.

I hope they aren't closed longer, while Disney can continue paying their CMs, many smaller businesses that rely on the business that Disney generates won't be able to...
