Rise luck?

For the first time ever I failed to get a boarding group this morning! And we got back up group 303 at 12 PM. :-( We are just at Disneyland one day, so this is my daughter’s only chance to ride it. Do you think we have any chance? Or has anyone ever had luck hanging out and waiting for the line to drop down and asking about getting in? I thought I read something about that lately. Just wishing. She probably won’t be back again for a year or two. I wish Laney Laney’s has started already. I would totally pay for just her to ride!

She got on. I booked my BGs at 7am, never entered the park today. I was able to hand off my BGs to Jaina via screenshots and it still worked.
Now we know that you don't have to scan into the park to use a 7am BG pass.

Now I don't feel so bad! I tried last week and got a BG on our first day there. The ride kept breaking down and our estimated wait time kept getting pushed back so we went back to the hotel. Came back to the parks, watched fireworks, walked over to Rise to use the boarding passes that the CMs said would be good for the rest of the day, only to find out that they stop loading the ride at 9pm even though the park closed at 11pm.

I tried again the next day and had a screw up with the wifi so didn't get it in the first time ever. I tried again at 12pm and got BG 244. At 2pm they sent a message on the app that they will not accommodate our BG because it had now reached capacity for the day lol

It. was. tragic!!

I have ridden twice at Disney World and 6-8 times at Disneyland, and I have never failed to get a boarding pass until today, and it waswhen I had some with me who have never ridden! She was trying hard to be a good sport, then if she was sad. She is a Star Wars fan, and loved it so much!

So glad she was able to ride after all! I'm keeping my fingers crossed I'll be able to get it for next week when we're there. We're going with a whole family who have never been so the pressure is on haha!

All the luck! Don’t let yourself get distracted or hesitate, like I did! I coached some older adults (late 50’s) through it the weekend before, and they got a boarding group both days.

At 7:00 am PT I refreshed and saw the faded out blue join button on the bottom of the screen. The screen also said I didn't have any eligible party members to add today. I'm assuming this is because I didn't have a DL reservation for today, although I do have a ticket linked to my account.

Is it correct to assume on a day when I have a DL reservation the blue join button on the bottom will be bolder blue and allow me to click on it?

This was my first trip back since DLR reopened. I followed the instructions people have kindly posted for getting a boarding group and we were successful both times we tried for ROTR. Super grateful for that info because I certainly wouldn't have done it that way on my own.
