iPhone 13 pro here. The app is ***.I wonder how much it is that the app is broken and how much it is that the phones themselves can't handle the app.

Opinion alert: I think the whole boarding group thing is unfair to full rate paying tourists (I am local with a Dream Key FYI).
1. A local person can sit at home connected to super-fast internet. Even if a tourist is connected to hotel or restaurant wifi it is often slow wifi.
2. Locals have much practice at getting on a boarding group.
This system has "gamified" getting a RSR ride, so many go for just to see if they can snag one.

I know it’s easy for me to say because we have already ridden (our BG success rate is maybe 75%)…..but be thankful there isn’t a 3 hour standby line to consume your day! The ride is really pretty cool, the first time. After that it’s just a’ight if you get a BG. However, I’ll never wait standby for hours, heck…I wouldn’t even give it 45 minutes….nor will I ever pay ILL$, it’s not worth it. FoP it’s not, IMHO. Bide your time, work the 7am/12pm BGs, you’ll get one over your four days I’d bet. Good luck!Personally I just hate this is the only way to do it... no stand by line option at all. Ugh.
Opinion Alert: The idea that people are getting up before 7am (or pausing their day at 12pm) just to play a game of securing a BG they have no intention of using…..color me skeptical!Wow. Just wow. That's terrible if people have really turned to hogging up boarding groups for fun.![]()
Haha! What was the name of that group a decade ago that people used to have others secure them ADRs at WDW? That got interesting! Imagine how nuts it would get if what you joke about above were actually possible….However that could be a lucrative market! If Genie+ doesn't launch before we're there, I'd gladly pay someone local with a fast connection and expertise to snag my fam the BG options! Stress-free vacay! Whoo-hoo!![]()

Interesting, although that wouldn’t be something I’d want to count on. Technically they are probably supposed to scan your BG from the app, not a photo. There was a shout out from someone desperate for a one day visitor who wasn't lucky enough to snag a BG to ride, and the person was able to send photos of the boarding group to her. And it worked!
So take that Disney and ROLL OUT GENIE NOW! Before we really gamify your system!!![]()
Actually it is possible! There was a very kind board member this week who pulled a BG for Rise then didn't end up going to the Park. If you have family that is not traveling with you, they can log into your MDE at home and try for you as well. They will definitely have a faster connection than you have in the parks or hotels. My DH and DD didn't get to go with us to DLR this last trip (October), and they got us BGs some days (we tried from the hotel and parks each day for ROTR and WS) and some days we got them from the parks. It is worth it to try if you have people at home willing to do it!Wow. Just wow. That's terrible if people have really turned to hogging up boarding groups for fun.

If it were up to me (which of course it's not) I'd say when you buy a three day park hooper you get an automatic ticket to ride RSR and passholders would get one a month or something like that. I think about all those grandparents who aren't able to ride with their grandkids (after paying full rate) because they are slow on draw and have slower reflexes.
Well… you can’t get on a boarding group if you don’t have park reservations for the day. So locals aren’t just sitting around getting BGs from home for practice or for fun, when they’re not going to the parks.Wow. Just wow. If my starting park is DCA, and now that Spiderman might be no VQ, I can't try for boarding groups at 7am anymore?
And would have to try for RoTR at noon and park hop if I get one?
Try not to stress, like I think I said upthread or in some other thread, we have never not gotten one.I had a dream last night I scored boarding groups for 5 days straight.
I think my anxiety for my upcoming December trip is real!
I've never done Virtual Queue before and am nervous!

Yes. Or a more secure way of doing it is you just have them add your tickets/passes to their account.Having someone try from home is genius! We have a Disneyland reservation for tomorrow morning, but will be on a plane at 7 am.
My niece and her husband will try for us from San Francisco (very fast wifi)...
All our tickets are on my acct, so if I just give them my log in info, they confirm our group of 5 and give it a try, correct?
