RIP Zachary

This morning, at about 9 AM, my uncle's beloved dog, Zachary passed away. He was a very sweet, long haired, brown daschund. He was blind and has been for several years now. He also had cancer. The vets treated it by neutering him. He also had a bad heart. I remember when I was like 3, I would go over my uncle's and his then wife's house and hold him on my lap for hours. When my uncle and his ex-wife got divorced, the ex-wife took him. Zachary sat at the door and whined and cried all night. The next morning, she called my uncle and had him go pick Zachary up. He has been with my uncle every since.

It really is weird that he died this morning. Last night, I had a very strange, sad dream (more like a nightmare). In it, my cat died. (I woke up in the middle of the night to wake Sassy up and make sure she was OK.) I just find it a weird coincidence that I dreamt my cat died and in reality, my uncle's dog died.

Anyways, thanks for listening. My parents won't get it because I haven't seen Zachary lately. They just don't think I was close to him, so I won't care.

Awwww, I'm so sorry for your loss....even if Zachary wasn't your dog....it's still a loss. These little furbabies have a way of melting our hearts, don't they? Sending you hugs during this difficult time.
