Actually - the whole world seemed classier back then.
It was classier back then, and then we grew up and had children.

Remember passing that book around in high school to read the dirty part?

That is hysterical!I remember having to get special written permission to do "Catcher in the Rye" for a book report. The hoot was that when the teacher asked me where I got the idea for the book, I had to tell her that my mother suggested it!![]()
My mother suggested I read Peyton Place when I was about 11 or 12. I got in trouble when overheard by a teacher talking about the book with my best friend. The teacher was shocked that my mother actually allowed me to read the book!! I did NOT admit that my mother gave me her copy to read!!
You were so lucky Deb.I always wanted to watch Peyton Place but was not allowed to! I made sure to later in life. Peyton Place is so tame now!
Yeah, the Spaghetti-O's are really bad for you, but they keep blaming all the fat and sodium on the Spaghetti-W's.Ah, spaghettios - high fat, high sodium, low nutritional value - that's why we all loved it so much as kids, and long for it as adults.
