Character breakfast - Chef Mickey or Cape May? Second question, what night does Boma serve ribs?

We haven't done Cape May for a comparison but at 4 my daughter LOVED Chef Mickeys. All the adults also enjoyed it, the food was decent (what I would expect from a buffet) but we really enjoyed the characters. She still talks about it and when I asked her where she wanted to eat this time she asked to go back but ended up asking to do a Princess meal.

I booked it again as a surprise the morning we leave.

FWIW, Mickey never made it to our table at Chef Mickey's. The other characters eventually came, but it took a really long time. I've never had that kind of character experience before. We had finished eating, and no one had come to our table yet.

We regularly stay @ BCV and usually do Cape May as a last morning breakfast before heading home. Low-key atmosphere. All characters make their way to your table. Kids love it. It's a winner for us every time.

Last time we stayed @ Contemporary, always noticed that Chef Mickey's was VERY busy/hectic for breakfast. Assume many were rushing off to MK after having a fast breakfast. We never ate breakfast there (we aren't big breakfast eaters), but did enjoy dinner when it seemed you could enjoy a leisurely meal. As I recall, the characters rotate through all of the tables on a somewhat regular schedule.

CM is definitely more hectic, but it has a bigger variety of food and a larger buffet. CM seems busier and more hectic at breakfast rather than dinner. Cape May is generally a much calmer atmosphere and I think the food is good. They had some nice touches like an omelette bar. I agree with the poster who said choose whichever one is more convenient to get to or fit in your plans. CM will be the more difficult ADR to get also.

Cape May breakfast is our favorite character breakfast. We always book this on every trip. The food is so good and there is a good variety of food. The characters are great and the whole experience never feels chaotic like some character meals can be.

I had a really great time when I went to Cape May, it was about 8 months ago so not recent. We got to see the characters each twice and the food was good. Nothing amazing but not bad. Last time I went to chef Mickey it was while covid restrictions were still in place so totally different experience now. Food was awful but characters were fun. I’ve heard they can be really slow and the food hasn’t improved, but can’t give an accurate account since it’s been years
