RIP Thread

I only vaguely remember him from Bonanza (my mom always had on the syndicated Western shows all day on Saturdays when I was a kid) but I definitely remember him from Trapper John, MD. Good show and a good actor.

You know, when that show started onb TV I was 12 years old - when it ended I had served in the army for 5 years. Amazing how my perspective had changed.

Okay..first, I want to smack people in the head when they start out sentences with "oh, my mother used to watch that show"..
Makes me feel like an old lady. :headache:
:rotfl:

I admit it..I remember Bonanza.:rolleyes1 When I was watching it "Adam" had already left the show. I didn't even know there was an older brother. My husband is a few years older than I am..and he told me about Adam. Me,...I had a crush on "Little Joe":lovestruc Michael Landon..who of course went on to "Little House on the Prairie " fame.

I do remember Pernell Roberts as Trapper John, MD. :thumbsup2

When Little House was on Bob would pretend to be watching the show with me. Yet really he would be secretly sneaking looks at me. Just waiting for me to cry:sad: (which I always did during a Little House episode), so he could point and laugh at me! Isn't that mean?...:confused3 I was so glad he mostly worked nights back then, so I could watch without being harrassed.

God, I feel old. :guilty:

Just barely, but I do remember when Bonaza went from black & white to color.

Lets all sing...........

"Hoss and Joe and Adam know every rock in site, no one works, fights or eats like those boys of mine"
"Here in the west something something Bonanzaaaaaaaaaa"

I hate this thread, but I come here every morning to make sure I am not listed.... ;)

This is Zelda if you don't remember....

She had one creepy voice and did many voiceovers for other shows.

Jean Simmons, a radiant British actress who as a teenager appeared opposite Laurence Olivier in "Hamlet" and emerged a star whose career flourished in the 1950s and 1960s in such films as "Guys and Dolls, "Elmer Gantry" and "Spartacus," has died. She was 80.

Is it just me, or did Hollywood seem a LOT classier back then?
