Another bit of trivia about Rob Reiner I learned today… he wrote the pilot episode of Happy Days. Ron Howard mentioned that in his tribute to him.

More trivia: Happy Days was a spin-off from a Love, American Style segment.

And though it's pretty well-known, Rob's mother was the "I'll have what she's having" woman in When Harry Met Sally.

there's also a great episode of the 'the odd couple' wherein rob played 'sheldn' who was the boyfriend of his (then) wife penny marshall's character 'myrna turner'. also featured in the episode are penny's brother gary marshall and her sister ronny hallin (as 'werner' and 'verna tuner').

there's a late 70's very sweet and funny made for TV movie called 'more than friends' that rob and penny co-wrote and starred in that is based on their courtship.
