Pix I took while there last week:

That could be a good sign indeed. Plus...the local radio stations have been plugging the AP's for Universal a lot. I hear a commercial at least five times a day.Maybe this is a good sign...they just released another video with the Rip Ride Rockit spokeman Syd Vinyl being interviewed by Access Hollywood. Here is link: http://bit.ly/nUtRA
He only says a little about the coaster towards the end, but still I'm thinking they wouldn't be plugging it if opening wasn't getting closer and closer.
Ughhh, I wish I knew when it would open.
Mike and I have a vacation window between 8/19 - 8/24. But I am not booking a hotel, airfare, etc without knowing if RRR will be open by then.
I was at the park yesterday to catch the TNA PPV. While waiting in line, I watched them test the ride multiple times with people on it (not full cars).
One of the workers that I spoke with said that Universal plans to have a separate entrance for the ride in the future as well, so that you can pay to only use the RRR ride (in addition to park guests) and not enter the park (for those potentially visiting Hard Rock Cafe, etc.)
The ride looks cool, but I don't know if I would make it past the initial straight up climb.
