Well the radio station down here is S. Fla has posted up again that they have a live appearence on July 3rd. It was taken down about 3-4 weeks ago right after they put it up and now its back again.

I just looked and the radio station has taken this back off their site today. I'm still hopeful this gets back into testing soon though, we'll be there in 4 weeks!!!

I think the lift hill is going to be similar to Fahrenheit at Hersheypark...it's a steady climb...not a launch. Check this out:

Someone over at IOA central just posted grand opening on July 11th. I don't know how true that is but maybe there will be soft opening while I'm there from July 3-10th, I hope.

You might want to say what you are basing your information on. I am basing mine directly on public relations materials provided to me by Universal. I tend to believe them when they give out details about their own coaster.

Universal Studios has been testing the new ARBs on the lift. That's why when it has gone up the lift, it has gone so slowly. But it will eventually go faster than the recent testings have been. So I assume that you are referring to that when you say the lift will be fast. Yes, it will be faster than what the test runs were but it will not be fast like Hulk.

So maybe we are all actually agreeing on the launch speed but comparing it to different things. It will be faster than it is now but will not be a fast launch where you are shot up the launch.

Interesting about the Power 96 ad for a live broadcast at the July 3 opening...I screen captured the ad and did an Examiner piece about it yesterday. Lo and behold, the ad disappeared today!

The "word on the street" is that the Grand Opening has been pushed back to July 11. I don't know how accurate that is though.

Hmmm should I be nervous for our July 27th- August 1st stay??

At this point we will be thankful it's open, regardless if we can use FOTL for it or not. I am willing to wake up early to hit it once every morning.
