Rip, Ride, Rockit!

In line for num 3. Rode last ride in last row and truly a different ride. Air time is bloody unreal! I am in love! I will never ride another row again. Butt out of seat too many times to count. Feels like you'll fly out sideways at one point. Ride front once for the view or if u like tame, then ride the realrow. We're waiting again to get night ride.

THAT'S what I was hoping to hear!! :thumbsup2

I will be in Universal for one day tomorrow. Will HRRR likely be open at the start of day? I would love to head straight there if it is.

It sounds like the ride has been opening after lunch. However, since it has only been open for two days, it is tough to get a pattern here!!! lol

Woohoo!!! I'm a airtime lover too. I wish there was more in the front row because I much prefer to be in the front row so I can see where I am going.

Doesn't the park close at 7? Are they letting people line up until 7 and then you end up with a night ride?

Okay, I just finished my full report on my 3 rides and a scan of our first ride photo: http://bit.ly/1rfVUb

Hope y'all enjoy the review. I tried to be as detailed as possible.

We got in line fairly close to 7. They may have cut it a little before park closing because they had a big problem/shutdown that lasted 45 mins., but they did let people in pretty close if not all the way up to closing time. It still wasn't dark when we got on, even with the shutdown which pushed our total wait time for that ride to over two hours (the others were 90 mins. each).

Excellent review!! I can't wait to ride it in October, when hopefully, everything gets worked out. We will definately take your advice about seat choice. We will do the front row first, if only to get the full effect of the lift hill, but then we are headed to the back. I love me some airtime!

I think a big bonus will turn out to be the "Easter Egg" tracks that are hidden. Even though you won't be able to produce a video with the hidden tracks, half the fun is figuring them out. I personally can't wait to see a database of codes listed somewhere. ;)

can anyone confirm this. i'm a couple inches over that so it would be a disapointment if it were true....

I grabbed this pic from over on IOA, but it's pretty apparent there is a height restriction. It doesn't state the max height but it must be an issue. :confused3 I have to say that's a first I've seen of those. Normally it's quite the opposite. I hope you can work it out somehow.

hey thanks for the response and pic, looks like it might be an issue. i'm only an inch or two over so maybe if i stoop. i've heard of parents putting lifts in kids shoes to get them over the minimum height but this is an interesting one.maybe if they let me ride barefoot....:)

I know three of the easter egg codes; I wonder how many there are in total. I know it's not just an urban legend too because I did get to the input screen, but it took me too long so I didn't get to enter anything. I like the music much better on R3 than RnR because it just seems less intrusive and more integrated with the ride.

I heard a TM say they were "testing" this, whatever that means.

902 is Rainbow Connection by Kermit
112 is Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd
301 is Float On by Modest Mouse
123 is a song by Muse

Apparently there are up to 80 hidden tracks to choose from. I'm sure someone will make a big list once there is more info available.

I think 88 is the Back to the Future theme. That is the one I was trying to check out, but I wasn't fast enough. I got to the number pad but didn't get to enter the number.

That is the one code I want the most! I will probably wait until after Labor Day before I ride this more frequently.

Is there a trick to getting to the number pad or is it readily available?

From what I've read, you press down on the R3 logo for 5 seconds and then a screen pops up that you can enter a numerical code.
